General

A male Miqo'te with a passion for all things mechanical. Fah'ren is an engineer by trade, as well as a soldier. Having served with the Immortal Flames for a few years, he sought out a place that was less restrictive in its actions than a military order. He found this in the Tomial Order.

Appearance

Fah'ren stands taller than most male miqo'tes. He has fair skin and blonde swept back hair. His eyes are a light blue with large pupils akin to that of Keepers. He is usually seen with some sort of eyewear due to slightly poor vision.

Past

Fah'ren was born as F'ren Tayuun, in Ul'Dah. His Father was a Seeker Blacksmith and his mother was a Keeper weaver, discontent with the social structures of their kin. At the young age of 6, he lost them both after bandits raided their caravan. For 4 years of his childhood F’ren took to the streets of Ul'Dah and lived out a meager existence as an urchin and pickpocket.

At the age of 10, he was caught trying to steal from A Lalafell inventor by the name of Rolesa Tolesa. Rolesa was not without mercy, knowing that time in prison would break the boy. He took the young F'ren in as an indentured servant, rather than letting the guards deal with him..

F'ren's life with Rolesa began as a rocky one. But F'ren did not want to return to a life on the streets alone. Rolesa had given him a new chance and new opportunities. So he endured the first year of indentured servitude. As the first year progressed, Rolesa began to see growing potential in the boy, the boy showed an affinity for mechanical things. After this realization, Rolesa began to treat F'ren with more respect. Eventually their relationship blossomed, Rolesa eventually treating the young F’ren as if he were his own son.

As the years passed, F'ren's skills as an engineer were honed under the watchful eye of Rolesa. The two still had their differences, Rolesa always sticking to his Calculations, and F'ren retorting that calculations need practical application. This difference, yielded surprising results at times for projects the two took on from clients. These results as well, caught the eye of the Grand companies.

Just before his 18th nameday the Flames propositioned them both with positions of being specialists amongst their ranks. Rolesa Rejected the idea of letting his skills benefit one company, while F'ren saw the benefits of being in the Employ of the Flames. F'ren accepted the offer, despite the disappointment of Rolesa.

In the year after, F'ren advanced his career with the Flames. Rolesa, on the other hand, decided that it was time to start a journey, to learn from other places across Hydaelyn. The Day Rolesa left was not one of contempt amongst the two. That day, they had both shared their ultimate thoughts on one another, A Love and respect akin to that of Father and Son. F'ren that day decided to take on the first name his father would constantly mispronounce, Fah'ren, as well as the last name of the man who he held so much respect for, Tolesa.

Present

The Flames had opened up a door the many new possibilities for Fah'ren at first. They had given him Combat training, a steady flow of work, and an equal amount of coin. But as he advanced in rank, his freedom began to dwindle. With Higher rank came more jobs, more responsibilities. His knack for engineering made him the "Go-To" guy for many issues concerning equipment maintenance and logistics. In 6 years he had advanced to that of Chief Flame Sergeant due to his performance. Recently he decided that it was enough. His freedom nearly diminished, he has sought out refuge within The Tomial Order. But now one more thing has come up from the Flames, they are offering a commission with a copious amount of benefits and coin.

Behavior/personality

When working, Fah'ren comes off as a very objectivistic and commanding person, always doing what he can to get the job done, without sacrificing the safety of others. He's one to make calculations but knows that calculations mean nothing without practical application, something he was always at odds with Rolesa with.

His working behavior contrasts with his social behavior. He is usually quiet and polite, sometimes overly apologetic. Around women he comes across as very shy, usually stumbling and stuttering over words.
