History

Fhuyu Kolkoh comes from a small Keeper clan to the far north, beyond the borders of Ishguard. The Kolkoh matriarch gave birth to Fhuyu early, far before when it was expected she would arrive. She was tending to the village while there was a slight break in the battering wind and icy cold snow, she suddenly went to labor as a swift and sudden snowstorm ravaged the village, as Fhuyu was born, however the snowstorm suddenly stopped. Her link to Menphina was discovered with a strange birthmark at the base of her spine, two very specific bubble-like circles. Her 'blessing' gives her a natural tendency towards the magical arts.

This ability was also a curse however, as a young Miqo'te's emotions are wild and unpredictable, leading her to cause some trouble for the clan, being that the small village was constantly being battered by the elements. A passing Magic user was able to create a pair of magic resistant hair ties, allowing Fhuyu to control her magical abilities until she is ready to remove them, reducing the amount of magic she can use to a that of a gifted young prospective Conjurer. The mage also told her mother of the Grand City of Gridania, where she could learn to control her power and use it to make the world around her a better place.

Thus, at the age of 18, the boisterous and sometimes mischievous young girl set off, accompanied by a party of capable adventurers who dropped her off in Gridania and left her, as instructed by her mother.

Personality

Fhuyu is an enthusiastic but sheltered young girl, who is very eager to help out in any way she can, she is loyal and loves to make friends. However, she doesn't often make distinction between what is and is not appropriate, leading her to be rather impressionable simply due to her naivety. That said, when she adopts a certain view, she'll fight 'til the very last breath. She's also easy to disappoint, her wild imagination, emotional instability and enthusiasm leading to her building up an idea and having her bubble burst when she's told 'no' or it doesn't turn out the way she hopes. Her number one desire is to become a famous seamstress and fashion designer, though for now she's stuck making basic clothes as she works on not making her fingers into pincushions.

Other Notes

Her 'blessing' so to speak was due to her birth and the fact that her family is incredibly devoted to the goddess herself, instead of being an 'Avatar', it's more that her power is a boon granted to her family and that she's destined to become an adventurer in the name of Menphina than that she gets any kind of special treatment.
