Physical & Social Information

Appearance

Height: Short for an elezen at 5 fulms and 11 ilms
Weight: 175 lbs.
Hair: Platinum blonde that grows into a darker orange near the ends. Thick and naturally wavy, usually kept loose. It hangs about halfway down her back.
Eyes: One green, one yellow.
Physique: Small, at least as far as elezen are concerned. At a distance she might appear short and willowy, and up close this is...not terribly far off. Once upon a time she had toned musculature in her upper body from extensive use of a bow, but that is long since atrophied.

Where her height may be lacking, she was at least blessed with a fair countenance; it would be difficult to dispute the claim that Giselle is beautiful. Sharp, swooping eyebrows and a delicately hooked nose are pleasant enough, but the lopsided smirks she is prone to might distract one’s attention from lingering on them too long.
Identifying Marks: Aside from an arguably authentic beauty mark just below the right corner of her mouth, Giselle sports a heavy coating of freckles even despite her dark skin.
Attire: Giselle is well aware of her beauty and takes great enjoyment in accentuating it. Open silk blouses are a favorite, as are tight leggings and high leather boots of only the finest make (and highest heels, to take the sting out of her lacking height). While there is not an outright excess of jewelry on her person at any given time, she certainly piles on as many elegant filigrees and glittering gems as she can manage without looking outright gaudy. Makeup is always applied meticulously to her sharp features; she favors dark brown and burgundy where possible.

Personality/Demeanor

Giselle is the sort of person who will make you feel like a million gil to your face, but afterwards the authenticity of said treatment might begin to wear on your nerves. She is expressive to the extent of being downright flamboyant, quick to laugh loudly (often at her own jokes). She is excessively friendly an exceedingly flirtatious. From all angles, she appears to be a woman who is very determined to love life and be happy, often to the point of stubbornness. Still, she is prone to brooding and pouting if she does not get her way. Thankfully these spells rarely last long, and soon she is back to her overly-chipper self once more.

Relationships

Family

  • Georgette Friloux (Mother): Georgette owns a high-end brothel in Limsa Lominsa known as the Muse, which has been established in the port city for many decades now and took up a great deal of her time and focus throughout Giselle's childhood. Though they inevitably drifted apart after the Calamity when Georgette became busy re-building and re-establishing her business, Giselle has recently been making more and more trips to Limsa Lominsa to visit her. As a result, they have become fairly close again. As Georgette is Giselle's only surviving family, she cares for her deeply and feels drawn to strengthen their relationship with each passing year.

Friends

  • Annaliese Sellecerre (Lover): Giselle's relationship with Annaliese is still young, though they had been friends for some time before it. After a long string of entertaining no interest in relationships, Annaliese has provided a breath of fresh air and perhaps a healthy dose of reality for Giselle as well. The full nature of their relationship is somewhat ambiguous as yet, but Giselle has far crossed the threshold of committment.
  • Sigurd Rainecourt (Friend): Giselle is not terribly close with Sigurd, though their few interactions have been meaningful enough that she has found a soft spot within her heart for him. They do not have too much in common, but they get along very well regardless.
  • I'tsu Fhuz (Friend): A young, eclectic miqo'te who Giselle has taken a liking to because of her eccentricity and general aura of well-meaning.
  • Renaud Becquerel (Friend): She does not know Renaud well, but it's abundantly clear that the pair of them are kindred spirits. They share a remarkable amount of quirks and mannerisms, with both of them gregarious, expressive, and generally flamboyant.

Rumors/How someone might know Giselle...

  • Giselle is a skilled woodworker specializing in the crafting of custom harps. She would be moderately well-known for it around Ul'dah.
  • Those who know Georgette will also note that she is a Duskwight, which would then make Giselle a halfbreed. This was also a source of great ire for her in her youth in Gridania. She is very tight-lipped about this and easily passes as Wildwood thanks to her skin color, though anyone who knows her mother or spent a great deal of time in Gridania within the past thirty years or so may very well make this connection.
  • There may be a rumor or two floating around that Giselle was once involved with illegal slave-trading with a remote tribe of thieving miqo'te hidden between Thanalan and the Shroud. This was many years ago, before the Calamity.
