He was raised by a loving Mother and Father who both worked hard for what they had. But things grew sour one day when he was still a lad. He came back from a nearby village to find his home had been destroyed and his mother slaughtered. When he ran to find his father, Lex caught wind that his father had been by a Morbol while on a hunting expedition. Devastated and broken, he buried what remained of his parents then began wandering. He would sleep off the pain as much he could. This was until opportunities fell into his lap which he gladly took to better himself, and help him forget. These opportunities led him down the paths of being both a gigolo and an assassin, both of which he would do without hesitation. APPEARANCE A tall, slender young man, Hellex stands at a true height of 7 fulms tall, weighing no more than 220 ponze. His piercing, red eyes can make any man, or woman, tremble in their boots. He has a very nonchalant demeanor, which tends to throw his opponents and lovers off their guard. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Piercing, red eyes ■ Remarkable height PERSONALITY Deep inside the lavish Forest of Gridania, or deep within the deserts of Thanalan, you can often find Hellex sleeping soundly at the base of a tree, as if nothing in the world could bother him. But, once a noble, accompanied by his two bodyguards, comes within sight, Hellex calmly gets to his feet ready to put his trusty axe to work. And, just as quickly as he wakes or falls asleep, he is able to end another’s life, their body left lifeless in the sand and dirt. A cool, collected smile as he walks off back to the tree, falling asleep as if nothing ever happened. STRANGE TICKS: ■ He sleeps a ridiculous amount. ■ His eyes are known to hypnotize people when he gives them a bright smile…or not. ■ The tattoos on his forehead and left eye often shine bright in the night. L I K E S ■ Sleeping – Something he’s been doing since he left his home. It allows him to grasp his life and take control of it, so he doesn’t lose his mind. “Sleeping guides the soul, and lets you start over…for only a short time.” ■ Hunting – Hunting- “It’s something about the hunt that…excites me.” He loves the outlook of hunting. To be able to study his target, track their movements, and slaughter it before it even has the chance to fight back. D I S L I K E S ■ Cowards – He has a strong distaste for cowards, even more so for weaklings. If he had the motivation, he would end them the moment he sensed it their flaws. But, he enjoys his time sleeping. But, maybe his next hunt will be one of those cowards or weaklings. ■ Immaturity – The thought of a man or woman throwing a temper tantrum about something, acting like a foolish child, makes him cringe in a sense. He does his best to avoid them as much as possible, just to keep himself from doing something stupid. H O B B I E S ■ Reading – When he’s not on a contract, or sleeping his life away, he would be fine in a library, reading to expand his knowledge, not wanting to be too late to learn something useful. From his extensive reading he has obtained the ability to decipher most codes with ease. ■ Cooking – Even if he doesn’t have a home to can call his own, he loves to cook and make things for himself.
