■ Hunini had no motivation in the beginning. A lost child cries alone in the city of Ul’dah–voice trembling in the bustling crowds. Hunini doesn’t remember the faces of her Mother and Father. In fact, she’d rather explain that she was born inside of the city itself; left without answers, albeit having no intentions of finding them. The only thing she can truly remember about her childhood are the hands that chose to swoop her up in the chance to give her a home when no one would. 

■ And despite the family of thieves being questionable parents, they were more like friends to Hunini than anything. They taught her to live, no. To <i>survive</i> in the heartless streets alone while giving her the support she needed. While ‘Hunini’ didn’t do the extreme crimes they did, she still fought against the law in her own, deceitful way. But to steal, to threaten, to fight would be the sole lifestyle she believed she was capable at the time. A child’s mindset could be only so aware without true guidance, after all.

■ However, her nihilist habits do not last forever. When she and her partners decided to raid a Weapons’ merchant, little does she know the consequences that would come of it. The teen stares in awe as her friends are shackled and sent for imprisonment; Ul’dah’s rule of ‘fending off for yourself’ ringing perfectly in her ears. Though, while she expects the same punishment, a ray of light shines at her mercy. The wealthy ones that own the weaponry store, the Ironbashs’, propose a feral proposition: Live with them and you shall be graced with a new life. And of course, the Lalafell cannot say no. How could she? 

𝙏𝙀𝙀𝙉 ...

■ While they give her freedom, they do not give her dignity. Childishly addressing her as only “Hon-Hon”, Hunini is played with; both physically and emotionally. She learns that the Hyurs’ business is more than just a typical weapon store - as their work is booming solely because of the illegal trades and exchanges they provide. This would also lead to Hunini helping these exchanges run smoothly, using her physical skills to fend off any negative negotiations and/or enemies. Her adolescent naïvety becomes a usable force for the Ironbashs’; both dressing her up as entertainment and using her lack of real-world experience to protect their gil from draining out. If it wasn’t for their only daughter’s/’step-sisters’ kindness, Hunini would’ve been more bitter to others - even more so than she is now.

𝙍𝙀𝘾𝙀𝙉𝙏 ...

■ But once the Calamity happened, Hunini was ready to use this as a meaning of escape. Albeit, unfortunately, she is unable to. As her adopted parents die in the fire of the terrible events (be it from the Calamity itself or of a foe taking advantage of Eorzeas’ recoil), her sister is left fragile in the ashes; without care from an illness, she faced most of her life. Hunini, as vengeful as she was, couldn’t just let the one person that cared about her carry the weight of the crime the Ironbashs shared; especially during the troubled times, Ul’dah faced. She spends months rebuilding the Ironbash home and its heir - transforming the once bloodshed business into a clothing store (?; subject to change)  as the woman happily weaved. 

■ The household rebuilds from its deceit, albeit the torment still is stacked below it. Hunini refuses to stay in Ul’dah, letting her sibling's trauma slowly regain as she ventures off to heal her broken soul and find the purpose she never got a chance to discover.

With dark black hair and a height that <I>staggers</i> against most of her race, Hunini does not falter with intimidation. And although Hunini isn’t necessarily <I>bad</i> by default it comes to no surprise that even her <i>neutral</i> expression brings a threat to anyone who comes across it. Honestly, the woman does not aim to drive people away. Her menacing glares and snappy voice mostly comes from her lack of social experience; unaware that her bitterness repels people off. 
When it comes to fashion, however, Hunini is surprisingly commendable. 
<br>
Thanks to her step-sibling’s new profession, she isn’t afraid to wear fancy-like dresses and whatever they create next – mostly because she could care less about her actual clothing taste. Many mistake Hunini to come from some sort of <i>wealth</i> due to her snooty attitudes and well-off fashionwear but Hunini can merely <i>chortle</i> at such assumptions.   </div>
