His body is nice and toned, and dotted with battle scars here and there, mostly on his right arm. He used to have long hair, but as of late, he's decided to cut it short for practicality. Don't need all that hair in your face when on the battlefield! Aspects That Stand Out: ■ His ear tips are always black, regardless of the ingame hairstyle he's got. ■ Always seen wearing his red string linkpearl. ■ Yes, he has a tiny beard. APPEARANCE (Au Ra form) His Au Ra form is far more imposing than the cute little Miqo'te one. Standing at an impressive 7 fulms 11 ilms, Jahl now towers over most of his friends, twice his former self's size, both height and muscle, specially since ties have been cut and bridges burned, he has spent a great amount of time training and out on the battlefield. His body now sports far more scars, wounds and burn marks, as he has also taken up other forms of combat, trying to expand his knowledge. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Thick, long, and strong alligator-like tail that features darker scales on the top middle section of it. ■ Dark horn tips, as his ears were dark tipped as well. ■ Limbal rings are duo-toned like his eyes, but due to game restrictions, they show up as gold. Needless to say one is gold, the other is brilliant blue glowing. ■ The red string linkpearl has been replaced by a Bomb Earring. ■ He's usually seen wearing black facepaint around his eyes. Or is it? PERSONALITY Jahl is normally a friendly, happy-go-lucky boy, carefree most of the time and laid back. Or least he tries to be that way. Depending on which side of the spectrum you are, Jahl is a doting boyfriend and protective friend. At the same time, he can be quite cold and harsh towards strangers. He will not bother putting himself in danger, nor will he deal with problems that do not concern his loved ones. However, he will still do his best and make friends! While at first he was quick to jump to conclusions and act based upon emotions, he now actually takes the time to reconsider the consequences of his actions. However small moments of mental breakdowns do happen, and you might be finding yourself with a blade pointed at you for the smallest inconvenience. L I K E S ■ Good meals. Jahl's mother read him plenty of fairy tales about snowy kingdoms, about dragons and princes as a kitten, and the boy has done some research himself as he grew older on Coerthas and the likes. If he's passing by and he's got his shield? You bet he will use it as a sledge and slide down the hill. Besides, the cold is the best excuse to cuddle up to a loved one and wrap up in warm, soft blankets. And nothing beats enjoying some hot chocolate by the window, watching the snow fall.There's something comforting in it. D I S L I K E S ■ Having his kindness taken for granted. Time and time again, he's gotten in the face of danger to protect those he considered dear. He has spent sleepless nights, working round the clock to make sure everyone's safe and sound, essentially working himself to death (literally). Only to have all of his efforts chewed up and spit back in his face, and even demonized and called a traitor to his race. Since then, Jahl has turned much more cold and harsh towards others, save for a very small handful of people. ■ Hyurs/Elezen. This might come off as racist, but all of Jahl's encounters with said two races have been naught but troublesome, to the point he started disliking and actively avoiding them. You need to really stand out if you wish to approach him. This goes without saying that he will be mayhap cold and reserved at first, but if you strike his fancy, he might warm up. There are exceptions, a tiny handful of hyurs that Jahl tolerates, and but one Elezen that Jahl thinks fondly of. H O B B I E S ■ Painting/Sketching. Jahl is quite the skilled painter but he does it more as a hobby rather than profession. He also carries small notebooks with him to jot down croquis of things that catch his attention. ■ Gardening. Being from the Black Shroud, Jahl loves his green. And there's nothing more calming than tending and watching things grow and bloom. He tries to surround himself with plants and his home is plentiful when it comes to that. ■ Artisaning. With his mate being gone most of the time, Jahl picked up crafting and started honing his skills. One day he makes a chair, the other a coat, or maybe jewelry. Whatever materials he gets his hands on, he'll try to make something of it. Usually it ends up on the Market Board, sometimes it ends up as gifts to his friends. As of late, he's taken to teach his lover some of the craft. I'm a 25yo stay-at-home/self-employed artist, so I've got all the time in the world to build up long-term stories! I live in Europe so our timezones might butt heads, tho I am usually on around 9AM to 11PM UTC. I'd like to put out that I do not mind RPing both ingame and on Discord. I'm open to a lot of things to don't shy away from opening up topics about certain plots or ideas you might have! Personal RP Limits ■ I will play Pretty much anything, including ERP, mature and/or graphic scenes. ■ I won't play Character Death. Bringing characters ilms from death is fine. But absolute death is something I will never agree on. My character might harm yours on a whim but it will never end with death. Unless it's a planned thing, ie you want to get rid of your character and mine just happens to be swinging his blade their way, or if it's simply the time to put the kid down to rest once and for all. Excessive drama. Drama is fine and all but if it stretches more than a week or two, I'm not having any of it. Past experience makes me try and avoid it like the plague. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks Jahl is rather easy to hook up if it's one of the things below. Otherwise, he usually keeps to himself. Do feel free to approach him! ■ Contract! Your character happens to be looking for someone to aid your expedition, be it escort or adventuring squad looking to raid ruins and/or slay some beasts, and a reward is being offered! ■ Your character happens to notice Jahl scribbling in his sketchbook. Feel free to walk up to him and ask for a look! Past experiences have made him less likely to get himself involved with anything unless he gets something out of it. Character Lore Adherence Since it's RP, we don't always stick to the lore 100%. Neither does Jahl. ■ For me, fantasia is a thing. It can be created by alchemists with enough research done. I will not judge if your character shows up as another race or gender, as long as you've got a good explanation! I know some people frown upon it but know that it is welcomed here. Be it temporary or potent, depending on how you wanna play it. Jahl's been through a few forms, some lasted longer than the others. Sometimes it's for the sake of convenience, sometimes it has it's own plot reasons, such is one of Jahl's previous lovers wanting to bear his children one day, but unable due to gender/race. ■ Making some things up is totally fine. Bending and twisting things to fit the plot, as long as it is within reason, is totally fine. It's roleplay. Make pretend.
