[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes APPEARANCE Jehanne is tall, even among Elezen, at 6'10, and boasts a stronger build than many would imagine- though it is unsurprising given her armor and weapons. In many cases she is cloaked in Ishgardian armor, meticulously maintained though the scars of battle linger still. Her skin is pale, a result of Ishgard's newfound climes, and should for some reason her flesh be exposed one would find it marred by old scars, generally those befitting puncture wounds where one might assume her armor had been pierced. The most distinct of these markings, however, is the wealth of scar tissue across her belly, as though she had been torn open from hip to hip. By far one of her most distinctive features are her brilliant green eyes, whose piercing gaze is often concealed by the shadows of a helmet and visor. She tends to take almost meticulous care of her hair, always keeping it short and minding that the red streaks through her hair never fade. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ Tall. ■ Green eyes.. ■ If visible; scarring & belly wound. PERSONALITY Jehanne is a woman of her own making. Throughout her life, she has rarely been given anything but the most basic sustenance- anything that she did not have to fight tooth and nail to achieve, that is. Having clawed her way to where she is now, the relentless knight has developed a confidence that borders on arrogance, as well as a certain sense of selfishness. What Jehanne does not deem important or significant hardly ever draws her attention, and though ten years ago she might have been willing to fight over anything at any time for any reason, she has matured well beyond that point. That which displeases or bores her is treated with disdain rather than vitriol, and she cares little for what most people think of her. She is not without deeper flaws, however. Jehanne is fully aware of her cruel nature when it comes to those she has no attachment to, and the unsettling pleasure it brings her to inflict pain and engage in general violence. Worrisome though she finds it, she has more or less come to terms with this part of herself, and rarely finds time to indulge in it besides, safe in the knowledge that her cruel desires do not extend to those she comes to care for. ( W I P ) L I K E S ■ Loyalty. Jehanne's most valued trait in other people is, by far, loyalty; intelligence can be subverted, strength can be redirected, but in her eyes, loyalty is the one thing she can always give and always hopes to receive. ■ Chocolate. Despite the infrequency with which she can acquire it, chocolate is almost worth its weight in gold to Jehanne, as a guilty pleasure that few are aware of. D I S L I K E S ■ Pettiness. There is little less endearing to Jehanne than pettiness. ■ Self-Righteousness. She does not like those who think themselves without fault, though she is aware of her hypocrisy in this at times. H O B B I E S ■ Dancing. One guilty pleasure of Jehanne's is dancing- she enjoys the movement and, while she prefers not to be seen doing so, she enjoys having a partner. ■ WIP . For better or worse, once Jehanne deigns to place her faith in someone or something, she is loyal to the very end, no matter the cost. ■ Resilient. Having survived against the odds for most of her adult life, there are few things that faze Jehanne or daunt her overmuch, for she is safe in the knowledge that she can survive almost anything. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Cruelty. Despite her self-control, Jehanne is possessed of a cruel streak that is rarely, if ever, exposed. When she finds the opportunity to express it, however, it oft catches her unawares until she realizes she is being watched. ■ Callous. Debatable as a strength and a weakness both, she is largely unconcerned with the plights of others with whom she does not associate. Empathy for strangers is in short supply for her. . M O T I V A T I O N S ■ Seek Purpose' - Jehanne has long been aimless and ever drifting from one endeavor to another; there has rarely been any sort of time nor will to make any of it last. ( ) - The Baneful Broodmother Character's Thoughts: "A vain woman, whose absence is no great loss to anyone." Jehanne and her mother were not on good terms. When Orrene was with child again, their family rejoiced; when the child emerged with features absent both Auphert and Orrene, however, a closer investigation revealed Jehanne to be the product of one of Orrene's many affairs. Being caught in her lie, Orrene grew to resent Jehanne for causing strain in her familial life, and though she was rarely witnessed being overtly cruel to her illegitimate child, she preferred to foist her upon other people rather than deal with the living consequence of her infidelity. Jehanne, after coming of an age enough understand why she was unloved, grew to resent Orrene bitterly, up until and well past her untimely death." Auphert Delumiere, 'Adoptive' Father . ( ) - Head of House Delumiere Character's Thoughts: "He might have been a good man, once." Auphert Delumiere was a man with whom Jehanne's relationship was strained, but not foul. Despite his fury at having Orrene betray him, he strove to be kind and fatherly to Jehanne, perhaps moreso than anyone else in the family. While he ultimately could never be the father to her that he was to his own children, it was Auphert's own wishes that kept Jehanne from being abandoned in the wilderness. NON-FAMILY Kharma Kha, Bondmate. ( ♥ - ♥ ) - Title Character's Thoughts: "A spitfire without equal, and a heart without fear." Kharma and Jehanne met on the eastern shores of Eorzea, after Jehanne rescued her from a shipwreck. Their relationship was exceptionally antagonistic one to begin with, and they came to blows several times along their journey across Eorzea. But when the time came for their parting, they reflected upon one another and found that their separation would cause them much pain. Watching her closest friend slip through her fingers as she returned home with the tribe they'd sought all along was high among the most heartbreaking things Jehanne has ever done- the only solace she could draw from it being that Kharma had made her choice, and that she would be happy with it; nevermind that this choice did not include her. Zaya Borlaaq, Comrade & Confidante. ( � - ♦ ) - Title Character's Thoughts: "A would-be martyr with far too much to do before her time." Jehanne and Zaya's friendship is one that formed almost overnight, in one of the least likely places imaginable- of all the people she now coexists with, Zaya is one of the few so far with whom Jehanne was willing to take a leap of faith, one that has thus far been rewarded with good companionship and trust far beyond what she had anticipated. Most of my RPing experience has been on the ground with one-on-ones and small groups, but I'm open to most ideas so long as they're within the realm of reason for me and for my character. Personal RP Limits I reserve the right to dictate what I will and will not participate in. For the most part I'm down for just about anything, but I draw the line at situations deliberately engineered OOC to break character, in a way that is not development; I came to tell a story, not start a fight, and I won't be bullied into doing something I do not want to.
