Basic Info
Kaine is a battle-hardened, foul mouthed and axe wielding Maelstrom lieutenant of 27 summers.
History
Kaine is the daughter of a pair of Midlander peasants who tended to a small farm in Middle La Noscea. Her life as a farmer ended due to the Calamity when Bahamut's fury ravaged her farm and destroyed nearly every aspect of her life. Upon realizing that she had literally nothing left, she decided to enlist with the Maelstrom as a last resort, eventually reaching the rank of First Lieutenant after countless battles and exercises. She then married the daughter of a wealthy La Noscean merchant who, conveniently was her superior. She now runs a hunter's guild located in the Mists.
Personality
Kaine's personality is on the abrasive and brash spectrum. She's definitely not inept at holding conversation, being reasonable or even being kind, though it's not unlikely for people to think she's very aggressive and hard to approach on the outside. However, if she really has a dislike for someone she will go out of her way to be as rude towards them as she possibly can be.
Traits
- Masochism Tango: Kaine enjoys pain. She enjoys taunting her enemies before battle in order to rile them up even further. Her weird wish to fulfill her rather questionable desire has led to her building up a tolerance for pain.
- Meat Shield: Kaine's tolerance for pain, her desire to protect others and her choice of weapon has led to her being used as a meat shield frequently. Does that bother her? Nope.
- Aggressive Menace: When Kaine is provoked and/or enraged, it's nearly impossible to calm her down. Usually pacification magicks do the trick, but there are times where not even that can stop her.
- Multidisciplinary: Kaine is specialized in a bunch of different disciplines, though her only combat skill is with bladed weaponry.

- Edward Durai: Kaine's father. Died during the Calamity due to a piece of debris from Dalamud striking Kaine's house.
- Christine Durai: Kaine's mother. Died due to the same circumstances.

Limits
I've spent a long time working on Kaine. Injuries and combat RP are alright but absolutely no permanent injuries or death.
