Basic Info
Khuma is an entertainer, fighter, and showman who loves to put a smile on the face of those around him. He is also, however, slightly off his rocker. He has a case of schizophrenia and is prone to having entire conversations with his spear. He found it lying on the ground in the desert outside of the Forgotten Springs and is convinced that it's sentient. According to Khuma, his spear calls itself "Vargo". On his more normal days, he employs slight of hand, acrobatic tricks, and far-fetched stories in order to make his living.
History
Khuma was born somewhere in Eorzea as a child, though he has no knowledge of where. He was abandoned by his tribe at a young age because of his illness and he spent most of his life getting by on the streets. He's traveled much of Eorzea, sometimes by choice, other times due to discrimination or the odd act of theft. He's done what he needs to get by when the chips are down and his pockets are empty.
Personality
Khuma's a generally friendly person, but he's prone to bouts of paranoia due to his mental condition. This is most often triggered when he's either greatly stressed out or occasionally from small, crowded places. Otherwise, he's a generally friendly person who enjoys making new friends and regaling them with tales of his, and others, adventures.
He has certain triggers that tend to make him become paranoid:
- Anything that reminds him of slavery
- Groups of people in small places, especially if any are looking in his direction
- People suddenly approaching him out of the blue
- Anyone trying to touch or take his spear (aka Vargo) from him
- Alcohol drastically increases his distrust of people and he's known to become violent when drunk
