General

Hyur

While the world was full of adventurers of all races and classes, exploring the wilderness and building grand exploits; Lio remained secluded neither advancing his mind nor body. As a child he slept as much as anyone would allow before his parents or sister would force him to get out of bed. It seemed as though his entire goal was to simply rest until his life ended.

It was not as though there was anything great awaiting him in slumber, Lio actually didn't dream often. But in the confines of a bed and in the dark, the world didn't feel like it could touch him. Hyur, lalafell, Miqo'te non of it mattered. This world was one in which there were no passions to pursue and so he allowed himself the ever constant dark.

At school he tried to remain as invisible as possible, not being particularly attractive or approachable, this was mostly easily obtained. Even bullies glanced over him as seeming just too lifeless, corpses after-all were not all that fun to torment.

The only real talent he possessed was understanding everyone's perfect angle. By looking at their balance, structure and behavior it allowed Lio to find the right perspective that they would be best viewed from. Naturally this made him talented with all forms of camera like equipment and recording devices.

But this was not an ability he could openly display, most species (or rather, people in general) found it disturbing having a camera in their face. Notably a particular elezen threw threatening glares in his direction if Lio even touched his camera near the girl he'd decided was to be his. For that reason he tended to keep his lens focused on scenery instead. But there was no joy in it, no person or environment brought him any kind of satisfaction. It was more or less just something to pass the time until the world allowed him sleep once more.

Without passion the soul dies, suffocating as it is denied its only source of life.

Her

Then he saw... her.

Yes her, always her, never anyone else again... her... her... HER! Eyes that pierced through all that stood before her and saw to their true selves. She broke them with a simple glance, the air about this... this magnificent woman strangled any about into obscurity. She became the center of a star that was at the final stages of bursting, but never released that climax all were so anxious for.

Fear was the only emotion any could give her, all other offerings were cast aside. Adults of any race or standing in society could feel there existence reduced to nothing. This was not a simple teenage girl, she was a goddess that tolerated a hyur shell.

Lio was desperately waiting for "the end" and this girl with the chest-nut hair down to her shoulders was that end. He had to know everything there was to know about her, this was indeed love at first sight. She was the only one in this world capable of delivering to him the one thing he desired most...

His souls absolute end.

Trees, buildings, brush, night, all became allies in his new objective. Her eyes that saw all could not see him, for he had reduced himself to nothing. That was the purpose behind this undesired talent, by becoming insignificant he became able to pursue the only passion he'd ever know.

Malls, class, park, even the windows of her very home he prowled and observed her in public. No one got near her save for her family, she caste anyone aside that even attempted to get close. Shiki was an island and the waters about her were too treacherous to cross, nay; they were impossible to cross.

His room became a form of shrine to the one known as Shiki Ryougi. Literally thousands of pictures and 100's of video's were cast about all with content of nothing but her. She was more than a obsession, her existence became vital to his own survival.

...- so imagine his surprise when one of the nights that he pursued her, he found this immaculate angel standing over a shredded corpse, a knife in her hand. He'd been following her before though, she'd never had the chance to kill the mangled man that was bellow her. But that didn't stop her from staring and running her fresh knife around in the already deceased mans body. Covered in blood, it was the very first time Lio ever seen his beloved Shiki smile.

She wants to kill.

IT WAS PERFECT!

Lio had finally found someone that could destroy his soul and best of all, IT'S WHAT SHE WANTED! Maybe she hadn't been the cause of the mans death, but the smile on her face was clear enough. Shiki wanted to kill and something, something was holding her back from it.

But now... now Lio had the courage to confront her.

I love you.

He stood before her for the first time at school, this was more than likely the first time she'd ever noticed him. Her eyes met his with that same look she gave all others, like she could cause their death with a final absolution. But she also saw the obvious truth, that's exactly what he wanted.

Then a look foreign to her face presented itself, one that could only be described as disappointment. Gone was the austere exterior, she would not give anyone what they actually wanted and that included allowing Lio to have the murderous glance he seemed to nourish himself on.

You're too weak to be my first.

With those words spoken, she brushed right passed him. The boy was deemed unworthy and disregarded the same as anything else that presented itself to Shiki to be considered. He was the only one that knew what she was and what she wanted and it still wasn't enough, Lio Shirazumi was simply too weak.

Him

That day a new emotion presented itself to Lio as well, one of an unbridled fury. But he had no outlet for it, there was nothing or no one to attack. He was too much of a coward to simply attack someone without having motivation to defend himself. Lio needed an excuse to unleash the raging storm that had coiled and compressed into his mind. He needed a reason...

Retrieving his camera from its case, he found a certain girl to which another certain elezen was quite protective and territorial of. Lio began to take her picture openly and she in turned as a means to reward his bravery (or perhaps make her pseudo boy-friend upset) posed for a few shots. The elezen tried to stay calm and chase him off a few times, but Lio simply stated that she didn't mind the camera so it wasn't really his business. In out right defiance, he continued the shots until Lio saw the proper reaction in the elezen's eyes to know he had resolved to take action.

As expected, on his way home from school a coerl belonging to the elezen cut him off in the street. The creature caught Lio by the throat and dragged him off into one of the secluded Limsa alley ways. There, it released him and the boy rolled to the ground before the elezen.

What followed next was 2 minutes of words and blows, using punches as a way to emphasize words as if stamping them into Lio's very body. However, eat time he was hit Lio got back to his feet.

This isn't yours, it's mine. We're here for me...

Those words slightly shocked the elezen, he didn't understand their meaning. If translated properly, it would mean that all of this was happening by the hyur's design; that the elezen wasn't playing his part properly. Perhaps it did make sense though, Lio had always shrunk away when he'd glared at him before, so why would he purposely commit the act that put him in so much danger?

You? You wanted a chance at me hyur? THAT IT?! Seven hells if that's all you wanted, lets see what you got behemoth tosh. Come on, come on!

After swallowing down some blood from his lip, Lio engaged in the very first fight ever in his life. The anger that had been born from Shiki's rejection allowed him to strike much harder than he normally would have, but at best the giant elezen only slightly twitched from the impact. After a couple free hits, he was decidedly unimpressed and threw Lio into a stack of garbage bags.

That's where you belong Shirazumi, weak should stay in the trash.

Amused thoroughly on not only his clever word play, but also on the fact that he'd made Lio's purpose for being out here completely backfire. Laughing loudly, he started to walk away and leave his assumed destroyed victim to wallow in misery and disgrace.
