History

Hailing from the nation of Sharlayan, Lumiel's family can be described best as that of avid scholars. Unfortunately, for Lumiel's parents, the act of pursuing knowledge took precedence over watching over their child. As such, Lumiel grew up in a rather isolated manner never having known what the idea of "family" was. The emotional neglect from his parents steeled Lumiel's emotion against most regards. Hardly has he been shown to reveal acts of compassion and sentimentality. Although the rare moments when he is confronted with such abnormalities called "emotions", he is seen to be innocently childlike having never been able to develop his emotional experiences.

With his childhood consisting of perusing tomes and attending lectures at the Studium, Lumiel was a well versed intellectual, knowledgeable in various arts of Aether manipulation. The one boon from his parents was their behest for Lumiel to study the arts of Astronomy. While he had, at first, opposed the notion citing that he was not suited for actual combat, he shortly grew great fondness for the Stars.

These experiences coupled together led to Lumiel having no qualms in setting forth towards Eorzea and leaving his parents, whom he does not hold in very high regards.

Currently, Lumiel has been traveling across Eorzea to broaden his knowledge over the various magical arts and strengthening his own mastery of Astrology.
