Personality

"Keda! Get your lazy backside out of bed and get up! Elairbert won't be happy if you are late, again, for your archery lesson. And I'm in no mood to deal with his delicate ego today." Mother Miounne's voice carried down the wooden spiral staircase, jarring the young Miqo'te sprawled out on a tangled mass of quilts and bed covers from his peaceful slumber. He rocketed upright in his bed, catapulting the pillow that was over his face across the little room and knocking over the candlestick and ink well on the desk in the corner. Luckily the cork didnt fall out of the glass ink bottle and a huge disaster was averted.

"I -I'm up!" he yelled up the stairs, leaping out of bed and grabbing the rumpled pile of clothes laying on the braided rug covering the floor. He stumbled around his room, hopping out of his night clothes and getting dressed for the day. His night shirt proved to be a most worthy foe this morning and he had to wrestle it into submission. In the mighty struggle the small mirror in the wooden frame hanging on the wall took an elbow to the pane and fell to the floor, smashing loudly.

"Now what was that? I'm not cleaning up another ink spill M'kheda!" Miounne called down to him, her impatience was easy to hear in her voice. And the fact that she used his real name said she meant business.

"Casualty of war, 'Nunne! Sorry!" M'kheda hollered as he pulled on his tunic, pants and shoes. He raked his fingers through his hair a few times as he ran up the stairs, mostly out of habit and not because he actually cared how he looked. He ran into the kitchen, which was right above his bedroom. He grabbed a honey muffin in one hand, his straw hat from a hook by the back door with his other and charged out the door.

"There's a basket full of apples picked fresh this morning and you go straight for the cakes! " Miounne shouted out the door behind him.

"Yea I saw them, they look great 'Nunne! I'll definetly have one for lunch, I promise! Gotta go, no time to talk!" M'kheda jumped from the wooden porch steps and into the bright, sunny mid-morning bustle of Gridania. He took a deep breath of fresh, cool air and grinned.

"Okay, so far so good!"
