Who Mask of the Seven Horrors Hidden in Nald'thal's Mists was before he donned the mask and his very long name has been lost to everyone except the dead who knew him during life.

For nearly a century now, the masked necromancer has crept through the shadows, researching and selling his dark arts to collect Gil to further his dark purposes.

He arrives like a mist and then fades away, totally forgotten. Only recently has his name been penned to paper, and those papers are holy writ in Ishgard that label him a heretic for defiling the dead left in the city after the dragon wars.
