Character

General

Naja is a twenty-three-year-old miqo'te who hails from the beautiful region of La Noscea. Her mother made a name for herself, in the past, as the infamous pirate, Ayda Bruhns. Once Ayda ended her lucrative career as a pirate, she settled down with a mild-mannered shipment worker by the name of Eric Elo’quie. The two were unable to conceive, however, and so they decided to adopt instead. It was love at first sight when they met the snow white miqo’te baby.

Loved and supported by her parents, and influenced by the city of Limsa Lominsa, Naja grew up to become a freelance bodyguard. She loves exploration, and mingling with others when she’s off duty.

Appearance

Often seen with a far-off look in her eye, Naja has turquoise eyes, and white hair and fur that she dyes green. She enjoys sporting blue face paint, and her attire varies from fluffy dresses to dashing shirt and trouser combos. She keeps her hair short for combat reasons (and because she thinks it makes herself look cool), but occasionally she will grow it out and pull it back into a ponytail. The young miqo’te’s disposition is usually seen as relaxed and easy going.

Personality

Naja has a very poetic mindset about the world, and because of this she often comes off as naive or even clueless at times.

She normally has an easy-going disposition, but is easily excited when her interest is piqued. Despite being a bit of an airhead, she’s actually quite curious about the world, and will work hard to learn new things about it.

Naja's personality is playful and thoughtful. She is protective of those she loves, and those that she perceives as needing protection. She can be quite a tomboy, but also has a surprisingly girly streak. Naja is a warm person who enjoys making new friends.

As a miqo'te who was raised by humans, the customs of other miqo'te are sometimes lost on her. She makes friends first and foremost, and is not too familiar with matters of the heart. She can come off as apprehensive and awkward when flirtation is taking place. Occasionally she has a complex about ‘not being girly enough’.

Combat

Naja’s parents weren’t afraid to teach her how to use an axe at an early age. However, due to Naja’s mostly pacifist nature, she ended up using it to protect others rather than to loot and pillage (the former family business). Despite her parents’ nonchalant disposition towards weapons, they were still very over protective of their daughter. Eventually, Naja had to become a part of the world in order to understand her place in it, and so she sought out adventure in the great unknown as a bodyguard.

Naja brandishes an axe, which she loves because she can put all her energy into one spinning swing, making it an almost acrobatic form of combat for her. She finds sparring exhilarating, though she would be crushed if she hurt anyone badly and accidentally with her power.
