[edit] Details Appearance Personality Combat PACK RP Hooks OOC Notes ಌ INTRODUCTION ಌ Lyhra Aylin (Pronunciation: Lee-h-ra Eɪ-lɪn): Born the younger (and female) of twins, Lyhra grew up in a small group of Keeper families deep within the East Shroud's Bramble Patch region. When her brother came of age at 18, he went off to adventure and meet other Keeper families; promising to visit Lyhra the following year. As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months though, no word was ever heard from him. The Keeper families sought out what information they could around the East Shroud, hoping to find some sign of the young Miqo'te. But he never returned. After another year of waiting, Lyhra decided to leave the safety of the Bramble Patch and set off in search of him. Thus her adventure began, and continues to this day. She has traveled to many places, gotten into a few scrapes and close calls along the way, and learned many new things. One fateful set of encounters led to another, and now she resides in Limsa Lominsa as a member of an "organization" that specializes in "acquiring goods". She often acts as a solo reconnaissance expert for that group, though she has been known to take part in combat for more serious missions. Her free time is spent reading, helping people, and continuing her search for clues on her brother's whereabouts.   ಌ APPEARANCE ಌ Face: Considered pale even by the fellow Keepers of her family group, Lyrha's softly rounded face at times resembles the moon she so loves to look at. The white markings on her face were given to her by her mother, in honor of the bright crescent moon the night Lyhra and her brother were born. She also has a birthmark below one eye, and a tear drop mark on the middle of her forehead. Body Type: Petite and lithe, Lyhra's lean body belies the combat training she undergoes to remain one of the top "acquirers" for her organization. Eyes: Expressive, bright fuchsia colored eyes framed by thick black lashes and softly sweeping brows. Often focused on some distant point, even when she's talking directly to someone. Hair: Wavy and black, with just a hint of deep violet at the tips; usually worn in a ponytail with braids. She'll sometimes wear an adornment in her hair, though very rarely any hats or things that can cover her ears. Voice: Her voice can be described as soft and lyrical, the soft hissing "h" and "s" sounds coming out as more of a purr. It does tend to veer towards high-pitched when she gets excited or very nervous. ಌ PERSONALITY ಌ Friend, Foe, or....? Lyhra is cautious and at times reticent around people she doesn't know well, which has lead some to call her cold or withdrawn. This is even more evident when she's focusing on a particularly difficult mission. In her mind, there is no time for jokes or laughter when there is something precious on the line. Such is the Lyhra that most people will meet when she's on her own, completing a mission for her "organization". Those that do get to know her though, find that she has a gentle, quirky side. She believes that all things in nature have sentience, and she'll often talk to inanimate objects; from trees to swords, to even your old dirty socks. Poor things... Around those she knows well (and the very few she calls friends), Lyhra can be quite silly and goofy. She may even let a bit of sass show, though she doesn't like to intentionally hurt people's feelings. LIKES Nature Especially the sea and clear night skies. She could stand around gazing at them for hours. Books Lyhra can't get enough of reading, and has recently begun focusing her studies on the ways of Scholars. Music She loves listening to just about any kind of music, and enjoys playing on her harp and singing. Traveling What began as a necessity to find her brother, turned into a passion for travel. Helping Others She can't say no to someone in need, which is why she'll often get side-tracked helping people. DISLIKES Bullies Having been bullied herself at a young age, Lyhra can't stand people picking on others weaker than them. Elezen Tied to the bullying, and from several bad run-ins with Elezen in the East Shroud while growing up, she is much more cautious and withdrawn around them. Morbols A terrifying, close call with some Morbols during her early adventures has left Lyrha with a great dislike for the creatures... and their disgusting breath. STRENGTHS Acute Senses As with most Miqo'te, Lyhra has a very acute sense of smell and hearing. Her eyesight at night is also superb, making night missions her forte. Calm, Patient, and Tenacious Once she sets out to do something, she'll keep at it until the end. Hunting/Tracking Lyhra has become very good at tracking things down, whether it be information, people, or items. The only thing that eludes her is information about her lost brother. WEAKNESSES Extreme Heat Prolonged exposure to the sun and high heat will leave her light-headed and weak. Hand-to-Hand Combat Lyhra excels in long-ranged combat, but struggles once her opponents get close. Loud, cocky people She never seems to know how to handle loud people, and can get swept up in their crazy ways. ಌ COMBAT & WEAPONRY ಌ Growing up in the war torn Peaks, R'kan has seen many of his clan fall. As he aged, he devoted his life in to preserving life. ಌ THE "ORGANIZATION" ಌ Known as "PACK" to some, the Wolves of Fortune are merchants -and sometimes swords- for hire. They excel at "acquiring" goods, particularly from Garlean vessels. Whether it be by sea or air, their ships are ready to sail into battle and adventure... for the right price. Hati: Frontline/Shock Trooper Vakker: Jonin R'kan: Healer Kharma Lyhra: Flea Bitten Kitten ಌ ROLEPLAY HOOKS ಌ Some ways you may run into, or know of R'kan: Helping Others: Well, he is a healer, always willing to help those in need. Potion Brewer: He finds brewing potions relaxing. Bounty: He "may" be wanted in a few city-states, possibly. Tavern/Bar: R'kan does enjoy a cold meade from time to time. ಌ ABOUT THE PLAYER ಌ THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND... I'm not R'kan As awesome as I hope he turns out to be, please keep in mind that I'm not him and he's not me. I plan to keep OOC and IC feelings, thoughts, and opinions separate. If R'kan doesn't like your character, it in no way means that I don't like you. And vis versa. I have a real life. Gasp! As much as I wish I could sit and play FFXIV "all day erryday", I can't. I have a career and friends and puppers that I love to hang out with. Please don't take offense if I have to cut off an RP because I've been called away to work, help a friend with a dungeon, etc. GUIDELINES I will NOT Permanent character death/dismemberment: Don't want to remake a character, so no thanks. I WILL ERP: Tis just another form to RP for me. Do fight scenes: I do the /random rolls for combat. Mature topics: I don't take offense to coarse language, or more mature topics, so those are fine in conversations and RP. Most walk-ups: Unless I'm queuing for a dungeon, or afk, I'm happy to have walk-up RPs!
