Rance Claire (21st Sun of the 6th Astral Moon), also known only as Rance, is a male Midlander Hyur from Ul'dah. Raised in an orphanage for the first 12 years of his life, he decided to leave and explore the world. For the following 14 years, he learned many skills and trades, becoming a mercenary, sword-for-hire and free-lancer adventurer. At some point he was even considered as a possible candidate to join the ranks of the Sultansworn, at least until he found their lifestyle to be too rigid. Known for his lust for life, gold, seashell and women, Rance gained a reputation for being loud, selfish and lecherous... Yet, the few that he can call "friends" attest that he has a surprisingly caring and loyal side, willing to even risk his life to aid those he cares about.
APPEARANCE
- Rance can be considered somewhat average in height and weight, specially when wearing his heavy-looking green armor made of high steel, black pants made of flexible black cloth and toadskin boots. With copper eyes and hair, Rance also possesses a curious smile: His teeth are sharp, almost shark-like too! When inquired about them, he merely says that he was born that way. He's almost never seen without his armor, due constant attacks against him. Still, he never seems to be bothered by the armor's weight and claims that he can move around with it without issue. Without his armor, however, he displays a muscular and strong physique, a toned body adorned with a couple of scars as a silent testament of his life as adventurer.
PERSONALITY
- Brash and care-free, Rance is brutally honest and cares little about what others think of him. He's also quite infamous for his lust for life and women! Often than not, he either finds a new friend with benefits or ends with a handprint on one of his cheeks! His most notable personality trait is his ambition: Always aiming high and never giving up, Rance is a determined man who puts effort in everything he does, let it be a noble or not-so-noble goal. Despite all his defects, the man displays quite the amount of loyalty to those he considers friends, always willing to risk his life to aid them if they are in risk.
