“I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
The vast majority of this girls life were a breadbasket of lies. Torn away from her mother by the church at birth, Reine never truly experienced a proper childhood. A Halonic Priest by the name of Jean-Pierre Archambault was charged to watch over Reine, a stoic man with a stern hand and a heart of gold. Jean-Pierre made every effort possible to educate the girl, teaching her to read and write and to speak like a proper lady. At the ripe age of ten she were entrusted to Ser Ignasse de Vesnaint to act as a temporary squire. Quickly she grew to admire the former dragoon and did everything she could to aid him and learn from him, an eagerness to learn, fierce determination and a knack for lance work gained her the eye of the church. Eventually she were replaced by a Elezen, a more suitable pick for a squire of such a prestigious knight and poor Reine sent to the Scholaste to study. Thankfully due to her stubbornness and previous displayed ability the church reluctantly allowed her to take the dragoon knight exam when she comes of age, an exam she would go on to pass. The dragon song war was at an end and her study nearing completion not much else in the way of change could interrupt her now, until. Reine's guardian Jean-Pierre wasn't long for the peace time, a sickness caught during the onset of the eternal winter. As if the man were wishing to die with no regrets he sent for Reine, sooner or later she had to know. He told her everything, from the church taking her at birth to her real mothers name. A set of shocking truths that will lead this girl on shaky path of chasing her aspirations and reconnecting with a life she never had.
At first glance Reine looks much like her mother, albeit much younger. A second glance, however, may reveal her stern, silvery blue eyes and slightly pointed ears, denoting a mixed heritage. However, her hair does a fair job of concealing those ears. Freckles adorn her cheeks, accentuating her youthful, sprite-like face.
Aspects That Stand Out:
“A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.”
