“I'm not upset that you lied to me, I'm upset that from now on I can't believe you.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
The vast majority of this girls life were a breadbasket of lies. Torn away from her mother by the church at birth, Reine never truly experienced a proper childhood. A Halonic Priest by the name of Jean-Pierre Archambault was charged to watch over Reine, a stoic man with a stern hand and a heart of gold. Jean-Pierre made every effort possible to educate the girl, teaching her to read and write and to speak like a proper lady. At the age of ten the church thought it wise for her to start learning the ways of Ishgardian martial combat so she could repent for sins she were never involved nor could even dream existed. She were taught to kill and kill quietly, to identify heretics and how to act. Though with the completion of her training came the upheaval of the Arch Bishops reign and the end of the war. Jean-Pierre however wasn't long for the peacetime, an illness caught by the everlasting winter brought on by the calamity. It was then in his last moments he told her as if wanting to die with no regrets, 'Your family name is Cahernaut.'
At first glance Reine looks much like her mother albeit much younger. A second glance would see some differences; her eyes were a stern silvery blue more than likely inherited by her actual father Theodore; Her ears slightly pointed denoting some mixed blood but these would oft be hidden by her hair. Freckles adorned her cheeks seemingly enhancing her youthful and Sprite-like look.
Aspects That Stand Out:
“A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it.”
