Petite for a miqo'te, he stands at a pitiful 5'2, essentially a runt along with his twin sister; his frame is small and wiry, so far away from threatening that the idea of him in a fight could well be considered comical. He lacks the typical powerful legs that most of his fellow Keepers have, although with his size he's incredibly flexible and light on his feet when he wants to be. His body language and posture is played up as feminine as possible, though his mannerisms are still crippled by general anxiety; he's not so good at the talking to people part of life.
Light peach hair drapes across most of his features, his deep emerald eyes almost always framed by well-crafted red spectacles. A dainty button nose leads into a soft jaw, plump cheeks and full lips with just a tiny bit of pout completing his face. He often wears light makeup, to ensure the illusion he hides behind remains in place, and he takes the utmost care for personal beauty; he can't help but be a bit vain, considering how important his appearance is with his history. His clothing of choice is usually a long coat and high boots, an easy way to conceal that he's not curvy as a typical girl would be. Almost every aspect of his appearance has been carefully manufactured to play into his role as an impostor.
Faree'a lived the bulk of childhood as a determined little gatherer for his tribal family in the Shroud, not as strong or skilled as his sisters; he was the youngest of the tribe, along with his twin sister, Ruka, who he envied greatly. She'd been born with the ability to Hear, which he grew to loathe rather selfishly, gloomily watching as she spoke with sprites in ways he couldn't quite comprehend. His relationship with the rest of his family was rough at best, constantly looked down upon for being unfit for the hunt. He spent most of his time gathering herbs, preparing poultices and salves to treat injuries, but that wasn't ever quite good enough.
With reminders on the regular that he was weak for a boy, he became melancholic and lacked any drive in his later years; get told something often enough, and you will soon believe it. The only close relationship he kept was with his twin sister, a bond he cherished. When they had both become old enough to go out on their own, she invited him along to try and help him with the art of the hunt - something she had taken to much better than him, even though they shared the same build. Where he wobbled uncertainly with a bow in his hand, she was careful, precise, and efficient. She hoped to teach him herself, away from the judgement of the rest of the family. The quarry they pursued led them far closer to Gridania than they had ever intended, caught red handed by a Wailer scouting party. With both having bows in hand, it was incredibly difficult to tell them apart, and to tell who had committed the crime of poaching; thinking fast on her feet as usual, his twin sister pinned the blame on herself in the following trial, when truthfully it had been the first beast Faree'a had ever killed himself. Key witnesses found no way to distinguish between the two, and the lie was bought; his sister even managed to convince them that it was him who had the gift of Hearing, and while she was being taken away, he was whisked away to the Conjurer's Guild. Through all the talk with his sister about her chats with sprites, he was able to convince the charitable guild master, though it may have been more out of sympathy for the child who had lost their sibling. In no clear words was he told what had happened to her, but considering they were tried as adults, it didn't seem good. He eventually got the hint, and from then on, he'd never quite know what became of his sister, hiding behind the mask she had made for him before getting taken away. In a way, the lie satisfied his weakness complex - if he simply pretended he was his sister, no one would call him weak ever again. He struggles with intense guilt over letting her do what she did, but the inner conflict in his own mind over his weakness was, in some small part, satisfied by his new identity. He adopted feminine mannerisms quickly, using the spare time he had away from his conjury lessons, which, rather surprisingly, he excelled at. He even developed the ability to Hear on his own in time, though he lived in constant fear that the delicate house of cards his identity was built upon would crumble at any moment. After several years it would come time for him to part ways with the guild, opting instead to open his own small private clinic, where he practices medicine with conjury as a support. He has gained small renown throughout the community, though no one is eager to accept a Keeper in Gridania - he still wrestles with his psyche, the boy a mess of torn nerves trying to keep itself stitched together. He's fiercely proud of his work; to the point that even though he knows his family is still out there in the Shroud, he wouldn't dare go back for fear of tearing down everything he's achieved. No one would ever trust him again if they knew, or at least that's what he thought when alone with his thoughts.
