Saki Amariyo was born Cemi Amariyo to a Highlander father of Ala Mhigan origin and a Keeper of the Moon mother. The results are rather apparent - she is much taller than an average Miqo'te, standing around 6'2" - easily rivaling males of her species, and even some others. Her musculature is subtle, but definitely visible when she's nude. She keeps herself in very good shape - running at least five malms every morning. She is also quite lithe, despite her voluptuous curves - which comes from constant agility training learned from a Doman ninja who she still affectionately refers to as Sensei.

Cemi Amariyo left her tribe at the young age of twelve after a happy childhood, eager to learn more about the world. At this point, she already had an extensive knowledge of the fighting styles of the Fist of Rhalgr and the Coeurlclaw poachers - she was more skilled in the former than the latter, despite both her parents attempting to teach her archery. She used these skills to live off the land as she traveled. Being young, however, she was quite naive, and often found herself scammed out of quite a bit of her resources on multiple occasions. She managed to stay afloat and keep herself safe - that is, until, she met a Doman mage also on a worldly expedition. An Au Ra woman, a Raen, named Takara Hoshino. Takara was a mage - a quite well-traveled one, having learned bits and pieces of arcanima, thaumaturgy and conjury to develop her own style of healing. Coming across the poor Miqo'te nursing a sprained ankle, she healed her - at which point Cemi instantly felt herself drawn to the Auri. At this time, Cemi was around the age of eighteen, and her new friend was twenty five years old. They bonded quite quickly, Takara being very optimistic and friendly - teaching a jaded Cemi her ways, and giving her a new outlook on life.

Over ten years, their relationship grew from a casual friendship to a partnership. The pair fell in love after three years in one another's company. Takara taught her young companion everything she knew of both magic and the world. She helped Cemi discover herself and her own sexuality, which allowed her somewhat restrained personality to blossom - shaping her into the flirty tease she still remains to this day. At some point, Cemi took her lover's name - choosing the name Murasaki Hoshino, as she had taken a liking to her lover referring to the color of her violet eyes in her native language. They never married, being quite the adventurous couple - they did take odd job after odd job to keep themselves afloat, however.

This all ended, however, when the Calamity struck Eorzea. Takara, feeling it was her duty to help heal and protect her realm and those in it, was struck by an arrow at Carteneau Flats - and her body was never found. This crushed Saki - who vanished off the face of the planet for two cycles. When she finally returned, she struck her claim in Ul'dah by using what little she had learned from Takara - whoring and alchemy were her professions for another two cycles. She still refuses to speak to anyone of what happened during those two years - it is entirely possible at this point that she had blocked them out of her memory. Nevertheless, over two years Saki had built up quite the nest egg, and had once more reformed that bubbly personality the Doman Auri had grown to love.

Her story continued from there.

She has had three wives and many failed relationships, none of them ever quite filling the gap that Takara's disappearance left in her heart - and many simply widening said gap. Nevertheless, Saki Amariyo remains strong, confident, and very talkative - she believes communication to be the answer to most of the world's problems, and she refuses to hold any hate in her heart.
