Character
General
Shino was born to a pair of Sharlayan scholars, and was originally name Y'naago. Her parents died in an accident when she was four, and she was adopted by their best friends, the Tezuka family, who gave her a Doman name and raised her in the traditional Doman way. At age 13 she married a hyur magistrate named Rei Kurosawa and moved to the capital to live with her new wife. Despite the fact that Rei was twice her age, and the fact that their marriage was arranged, Shino fell deeply in love with the woman. They were separated when war broke out with the Garleans, and eventually word reached Shino's ears that Rei had been executed.
Eventually Shino met and married Avavera Snowflower, they live together in The Goblet and have two sons and a daughter.

She is always eager to expound the virtues of her traditional values, much to the annoyance of some of her best friends. She is loving and determined and will do whatever it takes to see that those she loves are safe, and she is always quick to demonstrate her love. She sees men as her superiors in most respects and always treats them with the proper manners.
