Upon his arrival at Gridania, Sol immediately struck for the Archers' guild. Being possessed of strong arms and the necessary resolve, he found acceptance at the guild and quickly made his way through their lessons. A few short years later and several friends richer, Sol and his new found Gridanian comrades moved to become adventurers, lending their aid where needed and seeking treasure and fortune wherever they thought they may find it. Though their group did gain some renown in the areas surrounding Gridania, they failed to find the wealth and fortune that they dreamed of. With the empire's constant pressure on Eorzea and the ever rising demand for able bodies to fight for the grand companies, the group went their separate ways. Sol bid farewell to Gridania and returned to Limsa, where he would enlist to fight with a small company of archers for the Maelstrom. Seeing as archery was far less common in Limsa, his experience with the bow and its tactical use saw him quickly rise to a leadership role. While here, Sol found himself fortunate enough to be able to spend some time with his adoptive parents before his eventual sendoff to war.

Sol's deployment at Carteneau was short and terrible. His unit didn't hit the field but maybe an hour before they were overwhelmed and nearly wiped out by Imperial support fire. Digging deep to find the strength to maintain his resolve, he ordered the handful of surviving members of his unit to drag what wounded they could to cover and merge with another group of archers. Fighting hard to evacuate any survivors he could until the final order of mass retreat, it was here where Sol had forever cast aside the ability to exercise caution for the sake of himself.

With his return to Limsa Lominsa, Sol left the Maelstrom so that he may press on with the future he had envisioned for himself as a child. The following years found him travelling to the many corners of Eorzea so that he may offer his skills wherever they were wanted. This restless travel served to clear his mind of the past and help him to overcome the weights that war placed on him. It was during that travel that Sol further developed a selfless view of others. Where he would see many adventurers lend their assistance and move on, Sol would instead opt to further push those he could. He would offer his unbreakable optimistic spirit to enliven the weary souls he met which would in turn enable them to take part in his optimism and motivation. Appearance

Sol's appearance is nearly as flashy as his personality. It's apparent that he takes great measures to ensure that his cleanliness and grooming remain on point. Standing 6' tall with sunned skin and a muscular physique, he can be somewhat imposing until he opens his mouth. One notable feature is a scar running across the center of his face, a memento from Carteneau. Regarding the way he dresses, he doesn't hold back when it comes to jewelry and flashy clothing.

Brief History

still subject to minor changes and some cleaning

'Childhood: Born to parents he never knew, Sol grew up as an orphan in Limsa Lominsa, While this would set many kids down unfortunate roads, Sol was unaffected by this misfortune. He always did his best to follow the paths tread by the heroes of old and made every effort to remain motivated to constantly improve himself, striving to be the best version of himself that he could be. At age nine, Sol was taken in by a fisherman and his wife. The man's wife was unfit to grant him children and, wanting for a son to pass his knowledge of fishing on to, decided to grant this opportunity to Sol who gladly accepted. This simple lifestyle persisted for roughly five years until it became apparent that while Sol was extremely appreciative of the time he was able to spend with his adoptive parents, he wanted for more excitement in life. Though sad to set him on a path of departure, the fisherman used a chunk of his savings to buy Sol a bow and passage to Gridania so that he could seek entrance to the Archers' guild. Swearing that he would return to the couple when he became rich and famous, he set off toward the next chapter of his life.

15-21 Upon his arrival at Gridania, Sol immediately struck for the Archers' guild. No longer did Sol feel tied to anything, people or place, and so he became as he currently is, a wandering archer. Sol now travels less frequently than before, instead opting to spend more time floating between Limsa and Ul'dah, always on the lookout for new people he can share his time with.

Personality

It wouldn't be completely out there to say that Sol's personality can be overbearing. He firmly believes in the virtues of strength and fortitude both physically and mentally, which is apparent in the way he speaks. He's not one to hold back during conversation, and while he is usually careful to not offend others, this side effect is sometimes unavoidable with his hardheadedness occasionally getting in the way. Despite that, he is extremely friendly and quick to warm up to new people, treating fresh acquaintances as if they were long time friends. Ever the optimist, Sol is always first in line to motivate others when they need it and cheer them up when they're down. If you can handle his explosively passionate approach to socializing, there's a strong chance that you'll find yourself engaged in some interesting and likely hilarious conversation.

Sol's seemingly boundless energy does occasionally take its breaks, however rare these moments might be. Try as he might to keep looking forward and leave the past behind, he still sometimes finds himself remembering some of the less pleasant parts of his life. He likes to think that he can hide these moments behind a veil of fake smiles and laughter, but anyone that knows him will notice without fail that something is on his mind.
