"You'd be surprised how many problems can be solved if you punch hard enough. "

SUMMARY

Talha is a Miqo'te Keeper and aspiring pugilist. Shortly after arriving in Ul'dah, she set off to join the Pugilists' Guild and explore the city. She has stated that her ambition is to become the best fighter in Eorzea, a dream she is fiercely passionate about.

Her arrival in Ul'dah marks the first time she has left her family and ventured into the world on her own. Owing to her lack of familiarity with Eorzea, she's often very taken with new experiences and sights.

Talha is currently employed as a security trainee at Shroudrose Teahouse in Gridania, owned and operated by Faye Covington .

HISTORY

Talha has mentioned getting into fights often when she was growing up and is quick to point out that she usually won them.

She expressed annoyance over the crowds in Ul'dah and the overpowering scents that fill the air within the city, as well as the heat in Thanalan. While not confirmed, it may then be likely that she grew up in the North and, like many Keeper Miqo'te, her family lived a nomadic lifestyle in the wilderness, rather than within a city.

As is the case with Keepers, her family is made up of predominantly women. Talha has alluded to her mother (implying that she was quite strict), as well as having been the youngest of four daughters, for which she was often derided by her siblings as being "the runt". Her father, on the other hand, she seems to have only met a handful of times in her life, the last time being several years before her arrival in Ul'dah.

Of her siblings, Talha seems to be closest with Sosuh, the eldest of her three sisters, while she has a more contentious relationship with Duhsa, her immediate older sister. She is accustomed to, as the youngest, often being teased by her sisters, much to her annoyance.

When Talha and her sisters were much younger, their mother would apparently take on work as a bandit, something it was implied she did only in times of particular desperation to provide for her daughters.

APPEARANCE

Talha is visibly small in stature, with dark skin and dark hair, which she wears braided and adorned. Her eyes are violet in color and match the war paint she has on her right cheek, which is in the pattern of a star. A scar is visible over her left eye, though the exact origin of it is unknown. Although her age has not been given, it can be assumed that she is in her early twenties.

She appears to be fond of the color purple and often works it into her outfits.

PERSONALITY

Talha has shown herself to be somewhat abrasive and blunt, often stating her thoughts regardless of whether or not she was asked to. She seems to have a short temper. This, along with her eagerness and ambition, can sometimes result in her making brash decisions and rushing headlong into situations without thinking. At one point, when offered a task by Hamon of the Pugilists' Guild, she quickly accepted and ran out into the city at once to accomplish it, before returning several moments later when she realized he hadn't actually told her what the task was yet.

Talha has a habit of freely voicing her complaints at great length, which has in the past been chastised by her mother as childish behavior. Nevertheless, regardless of how much she may gripe about tasks given to her, she will carry them out all the same, sometimes simply to prove she can and often with a competitive attitude about it.

Flirting typically elicits an agitated response from her and on the occasions where someone has tried, she has responded abrasively before quickly taking her leave. It could be that, having lived mostly in the company of her own family, she is simply not accustomed to being propositioned.

Perhaps owing her to youthful age and status as the youngest of four siblings, Talha can occasionally act out in immature ways.

She strongly dislikes it when people are bullied or pushed around by others, and will not hesitate to intervene in such a situation, usually without thinking.
