Identification

Sinjin is fairly short for an Elezen measuring at narrowly just above six feet tall. When on periods of relaxation his attire will consist of a bland, sleeved hempen tunic, with weather worn slops, and leather bound moccasins. The most puzzling yet intriguing of his features when not donned in his battle-clad armor is the fact he covers his left eye. Though when he is in the regalia of his Ishgardian Birth-rite, not much can be seen of his features from beneath the visor that covers his face. Whether in his dragon slaying regalia or his laid back wardrobe, he always wears a vibrant red ring, often times switching it between fingers and his hands as if out of some awkward ritual.

A few scars riddle his face, the most of the lot over the eye he keeps hidden behind a leather patch. His short hair is wild in fashion of a dark reddish, brown brick color while a gold streak runs down the mid section, giving it a sort of blazing feature that stands out among his normal battle-weary adventure visage.

Personality

Sinjin is not a man of many words, making him the least likely to ask questions and more so be the one to answer them, as though he treated everyone as an outsider. Though such was the Ishgardian way to bare it’s gates to all but local blood. As quiet as he is, he is not one to easily walk up and begin a conversation, discuss likeness', or ask for help.

During his services in the Eorzean Alliance, this trait of his earned him the nickname "Sparky". While his colleagues poked fun at his silent behavior, it couldn't be helped that his being sparked debates about his everyday life; with questions ranging from "His favorite foods," to "What kind of women he liked." And yet he did not mind their curiosity of conclusions.

The Eorzean Alliance & the Battle of Carteneau

While in the past he bore no ill-will towards the inhabitants of other nations, he was unlikely to join any nations fight without a defined reason. But unlike other Ishgardians with the Garleans ever growing activity and the threat they could possibly pose to his homeland, he began to take up arms to fight for the Eorzean Alliance, thus leaving the Ishgard forces.

Coming in contact with many of the Grand Company’s established military units lead him to the battlefront of Carteneau where he engaged the Garlean’s head on, unaware that the threat lurking within Dalamud was none other than the Elder Primal Bahamut. A dragon of all things.

Upon the Wyrmking’s freedom, Sinjin could do naught but watch. Frozen in fear by the Primal’s sheer size and the destruction it wrought within its first donning seconds of freedom. It was not till a man fleeing for his life from the field, knocking him off his feet did he realize that he too needed to retreat. As he fled the field, jumping over falling debris with the skill from his training in Ishgard, his vision became tunneled, as if his life was flashing before his eyes, his heart racing so fast he felt it would burst, and it was in that moment that he lost consciousness.

Details are skewed as to how he’d survived, and being a man of few words; he has been reluctant to tell.

Post Calamity

Months after the calamity, Sinjin retired from the life of a cavalry man and took up a more relaxed stand as a field worker. It would seem the effects of the calamity took their toll in the form of his newly acquired sensitive hearing. It's unknown whether the catastrophic noises of the release of the Elder Primal Bahamut caused this dysfunction, but it has been a bane to the Elezen as some shouts and yells are amplified. He's resulted to sticking cotton bolls in his ears when they are uncovered by gathering equipment.

Though his days of an Official Dragoon for the Holy See of Ishgard are over, he still often takes up his lance whether to keep his talent fresh or to aid an ally in need.

Often times he is seen in places of calm tending to avoid Ul'dah due to it's busty commerce and favoring places like Gridania or in some cases, Limsa Lominsa; for their calm scenery.
