Basic Info
"May I help you?" —Vincent Laucent
The younger brother of Tatreaubient Laucent, second son of a respected and wealthy wildwood elezen family that used to reside in Coerthas before the Calamity.
Vincent's appearance is rather similar to his brother's. Twelve years younger, he always wore his copper-red hair short and neat, pulled behind to not cover his eyes. His eyes - green like Tatre's - are rounder than his brother's and set in a broader face, causing Vincent to more closely resemble their mother than Tatreaubient, who resembles their father the most.
Vincent is also a victim of the Calamity, that caused him to lose his home, friends, and some relatives including his brother. Having nothing left but his strong will to help the people and honor is fallen family name, Vincent works solely to aid the victims of the Calamity, and spends most of his days studying hard at the Conjurers' Guild in Gridania, or helping the people in Coerthas. Thanks to the Echo, Vincent's memories of his brother, who participated at the battle of Cartenau, are still alive in his mind, unlike to most of the other people in Eorzea. However, he hasn't heard of his brother for five long years now, and is starting to lose hope that he may have survived the wrath of Bahamut.

Personality
In many ways, Vincent's calm and passive disposition exists as a foil to his older brother's more abrasive personality. Vincent is kindhearted, notably compassionate and patient almost to a fault, acting often out of protective selflessness for his loved ones, new friends and sometimes toward even his enemies. Having had his psychological growth stunted at the age of twelve due to loss of his older brother, Vincent retains a childlike purity in the face of all his encountered horrors; however, despite this, he has always displayed a significantly higher level of maturity than most of boys of his same age. Though Vincent is as passionate as his brother, he has remarked that his anger takes longer to spark and jokes that he is always beaten to the punch by Tatreaubient's outbursts.
On the other hand, Vincent's heart does contain some darkness born from the tragedies of his life. Plagued with insecurities about his own power to help the people, Vincent craves the warmth of his previous life in desperate silence, fears that he will never again know closeness, and is sometimes overwhelmed by the suspicion that he will never succeed to keep up his family's name in his brother's stead.

The Conjurers' Guild
Vincent signed up to learn the arts of conjury soon after the Calamity, driven by a strong desire to help the suffering people in Coerthas. Devoting his life to nothing but strict studies since then, he has at this point developed a great talent in the art among those of his same class. Despite not being an adult yet, he has already learned the basic healing skills that only adult conjurers are normally taught to use.
Music Themes
Note: Vocal Songs are attributed themes in which the lyrics seem to relate or partially relate to the character. They don't mean to resemble the character's voice. The instrumental themes are meant to give an idea of the atmosphere around the character. Songs with character names (example: "Tidus's Theme") are NOT meant to indicate that the character is like the theme owner. I just find the instruments and melody fitting, not the character the song was originally addressed to.
