[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Y’zareen is a proud member of the miqo’te Jaguar tribe, with her family branch originating on a small island that is part of the Cieldales archipelago. A talented hunter that favors the spear and possessing a unique magical talent, Y’zareen has left home with the goal to win gil and glory- and save her tribe from extermination. APPEARANCE Y’zareen is tall, roughly five fulms 6 ilms, with long, strongly muscled legs and an hourglass figure. Her hands are tipped with naturally black claws and sport calluses from a lifetime of work. Zareen’s skin is a rich, natural tan, and she often wears relatively light clothing that displays her figure and emphasizes the elaborate, colorful abstract tattoos that flow across her shoulder blades, along the outside of her hips, across her collarbones, and across her cheeks. Her cheeks are high-boned, eyes large and a deep, dramatic emerald green- which stands out strongly against the black tattooing that frames them. Full lips are frequently colored with dark stain, which makes her white smile and very prominent, pointed eyeteeth eye-catching when she flashes her frequent, quick smiles. Naturally purple hair is worn long, down to the small of her back, in carefully crafted thin twists that are adorned with filigreed gold bands, brightly colored beads, and brightly colored feathers. Her ears are rounded compared to many Seekers, furred in a similar color to her hair with the base a darker tone and small white spots near the tips. Pierced multiple times, Zareen wears very little jewelry when out in the field but can be seen with well-crafted and varied earrings in town. Her tail is uncommonly long and relatively thick, furred in deep purple with darker splotches and rings along its length and a small white patch at the tip. Zareen favors gold jewelry and brilliantly colored gemstones, light, minimal clothing, and leather armor. She is known to use brightly colored makeup and gold to enhance her tattoos or play up her physical attributes, and enjoys lacquering her claws with gold tips. PERSONALITY Zareen is, on first glance, a very personable woman- quick with a smile and confident in her place in life and her abilities. Curious by nature, she despises looking foolish and will lose her temper if she feels disrespected or condescended to. She has a great deal of respect for the family unit and loves children, enjoying the rare chances she gets to play with them. To more conservative individuals, Zareen’s style of dress and adornment would border on scandalous, though she doesn’t seem to have any real sense of body shame and is just as comfortable (if not moreso) in very minimal clothing as she is in more elaborate costume. Were one to ask a member of her family, they would be given a very different description of Zareen’s personality. She has not been in Eorzea long enough to make such deep connections with anyone, though particularly observant individuals may see that her easy confidence is not as easy as she makes it seem. I am not fond of primarily tavern-RP but I am open to almost any other storylines. I am a married woman in my 30s and currently a full-time student living in the Central US Time Zone. CHARACTER TIDBITS Potential Plot Hooks Zareen is currently looking for work opportunities that will pay good gil. While backstory connections would be unlikely unless one is playing a member of the Jaguar tribe or someone from her small island home, here are examples of details that could be built into plot hooks: ■ Zareen can be found in the Drowning Wench roughly four times a week, though she rarely eats or drinks there. ■ Fiercely proud of her heritage, Zareen has gotten into many arguments regarding tribal miqo’te versus city miqo’te, and more than once said arguments have gotten violent. ■ Zareen has been seen at a couple of fancy balls around Limsa Lominsa, always dressed in very elaborate gowns, always on the arms of young men who have been rumored to be uninterested in marriage. She has always been aloof and uninterested unless specifically addressed at these events. Character Lore Adherence Y’zareen was created in the ‘grey area’ of known lore regarding both geography (the Cieldales isles) and magic. While I do my best to adhere to the lore that is specifically stated for the game as well as the general ‘feel’ of the Final Fantasy game series, I am lore-abiding but not lore-specific. ■ Of specific note: Y’zareen possesses a soul crystal which utilizes a particular system to craft aetherial weaponry.
