Appearance & Personality
Throughout the years he has sported many cuts and colours- for many reasons. Some of these were out of curiousity or for practical reasons, and others... were to bother a particular person as much as possible. Currently however he sports his usual very long, dark hair that reaches half way down his back even after being tied into a ponytail. His preference for lighter clothes has diminished, instead replaced with thicker items that tend to cover up his skin unless in private or company he knows and trusts; in such a case his arms and lower legs remain wrapped in bandages as though a permanent fixture. There also seems to be a great variation of clothes that he chooses to wear, often mixing and matching depending on the situation or (more commonly) his mood; he does, however seem to favour garments on the more comfortable side.
When observing or speaking to him he tends to give off a very quiet, calming vibe about him- words nearly always laced with a hint of tiredness even though he may have done nothing but rest for days. It is easy to feel the years that Maken has behind him when conversing, though he never seems to make a point of them unless it is necessary- preferring to allow others to talk so he may listen.
Known Background
There are few that know how long Maken has been in Eorzea, and even less that were around when he arrived. Much of the story he told others- and himself in regards to how and why he came here was shattered after a long line of revelations and a resurgence of long believed dead family and friends. The details though, he keeps to himself and the only ones that know are long since gone themselves. In more recent years he made a name for himself as both a tutor of Aetherical arts and a key liaison for many beast tribe negotiations before an incident that cost him the temporary use of his magic and nearly cost him his life. With the lost of his students and his name he floated for a while, busying himself in aiding the kin around him rebuild anew- until he once more became severely injured and his whereabouts became lost to all those but the closest to him, each searching relentlessly until he was found. He returned very much a changed man and wont speak on it, but he was alive and he could touch the aether once more. Though his recovery was slow he was surrounded by friends and effectual family, even a groom to be- though even these things could not last. Present day and he wanders once more with a purpose- though nobody is even sure -he- knows what it is.
