Appearance
Mika is a Seeker of the Sun, as much as she denies her heritage. Her hair is black, without a tinge of any other color save for the moments she decides to put a splash of color in her hair, usually for a bit of extra flair. For someone of her race, she's rather tall, standing at five feet and eleven inches. To accompany her large stature, she was toned, enough muscle to show definition on her skin without hindering her movement in the slightest. The way she stands shows that she is usually relaxed. but still proud of her past. Her voice is soft, cheery, and laced with a less thick Lominsan accent.
History
Mika was a troublemaker from the moment she was born to a man and woman in Limsa Lominsa. Two Seekers of the Sun who spurned their clans for love, and the hope of a new life in the marine city state. She was, from a young age, the type to run off From picking fights with the other kids to stealing pastries off an unsuspecting merchant's table, it was obvious that the rambunctious miqo'te would be up to no good in her adulthood. She proved them wrong, running away to Ul'dah to make use of her skills at the young age of twelve as one of the bloodsands gladiators. This was mostly influenced by travelers too eager to give glory to the famous warriors of the sands, which was enough to spur this rambunctious miqo'te on. However, her youthful pride was soon crushed as she realized what she was up against. She would have to learn how to fight for real, and to do that, she trained under Haldan Stoneshatter, an Ala Mhigan monk and retired gladiator of the bloodsands.
Journeying into the Sagolii desert to meet the legendary hero of the Bloodsands, she was shocked to see what he was Haldan was an old man, but still able enough to teach the young Miqo'te to the best of his ability. Throughout her time with the wizened Highlander, she learned to hunt for her own food and water, self discipline, and further unlock her chakra. He was her mentor for four years before he finally passed away, leaving her with his old, weathered hovel in the desert. Out of respect for her mentor, she kept the hut safe, and his set of himantes at her sides. With this, she continued to train by herself for months, rarely going towards civilization and hunting for her own food and water, as she was taught. Then, the moment she turned seventeen, she decided that enough time had passed for her to enter the bloodsands. No longer a child, yet still not an adult, she was not allowed inside without a bit of lying on her end. Soon, she was thrust into battle after battle, winning fight after fight against criminals, beasts, and even fellow gladiators.
She rose to fame, but Mika felt her time in the arena was coming to a close if she didn't keep the crowd interesting. Her fists and discipline were not enough, even if they were her strongest weapon, so she decided to mix it up in her future fights. She no longer solely used her fists, but instead used a whole arsenal of weaponry. Her opponents never knew exactly what they were getting into, and her unpredictable choice of weaponry eventually got her nickname, "Wildcard of the Sands". She was a crowd favorite during her career, and even now her deeds are spoken of to this day.
Ten years passed, and she finally decided to stop her undefeated career, and with that, the legend disappeared from the public eye. She kept in contact with her allies in Ul'dah and Limsa Lominsa, but other than the occasional fan spotting her in the market, she's unseen mostly. She decided to do more with her life besides fighting, while still using her martial talents to make money on the side, mostly to . She was, for the first time in her life, at peace. Learning to cook, spending time with friends and whatnot, the Miqo'te began to calm down during this period. The peace lasted for only a few months before she went out on a trip with a few old comrades from both her budding mercenary work and her time in the Sands.
At first, it was a normal vacation, going from place to place, tavern to tavern, and occasionally setting up camp in the wilds. The Garleans sprung out on the traveling group in surprising numbers, capturing the entire group save a few stragglers. The XIVth Legion was growing bolder by the day, and capturing this group of civilians was just one of the atrocities they committed. Many of her allies were forcefully conscripted and sent off to fight. However, Mika herself managed to persuade the leader of the camp that she was of no use to the war effort on the front, and eventually was kept around to help tend to soldier's wounds. This was a short-lived slavery, as soon after her capture the Battle of Carteneau was raging. Blades drawn, all were called to join the front line. Mika's refusal led to her being slapped in irons, carted off and executed by one of the Centurions. However, while in transit, Bahamut's flames scorched the earth. Hearing the roaring flames miles away, she managed to escape and survive the cataclysmic blast, falling unconscious in the process.
When she woke up, the charred remains of the Centurion still clutching his weapon: A gunblade, banged up from the event that just happened, but still serviceable. She took it and ran, ran until she found some form of civilization. She eventually found a small town, relatively untouched by the horrific advent of Bahamut's release. She took it and ran as far as she could. She didn't know where she was, but she was somewhere in Limsa, some small farming town in a small area that hadn't seen the worst of the Calamity. She was taken in, and her weapon raised suspicion, but she eventually convinced them to let her go. She stayed, regardless of the looks she got, and found work in a shattered world. The crops were burned, houses were destroyed, and they needed any help they could get. And so, she disappeared for a couple of years.
Nothing lasts forever, and that included her residency in the town. She packed up her gear, dressed for a journey, and went back home. Limsa Lominsa was still as glorious as it was before, but she wasn't there to gawk at the architecture she didn't miss too much. She wanted to find her parents. She wanted to apologize for disappearing all those years ago. Her search was fruitful, and she reconnected with her parents, marking the turning point of the Miqo'te's life after the world burned. After this, she didn't stop trying to find her old comrades. Some even survived and managed to escape the Garlean encampment, and plenty of her old friends from the Coliseum survived. So of course, she celebrated with a small feast, just to reunite eachother again.
Life went on, and Mika's life returned to normalcy. She stopped risking her life too much, and overall mellowed out. This didn't stop her from taking one job, which earned her the nickname worriedly whispered among all Garleans that choose to stay in Eorzea: The Fourteen's Fear. Despite her apparent change and her discipline, she still had anger in her heart. Being paid to take bounties on the imperials was more than agreeable to her. Needless to say, there's a few bounties on her head, but of course not too many are willing to go toe to toe with such an enemy.
Ishgard's opening led her to a world of possibilities. One thing that caught her ear was their ability to slay dragons. She hadn't seen them much before, save for some of her adventures in Coerthas, but she wanted to learn how to combat them. Luckily for her, the birth of the machinist was just occurring. The ability to arm herself for an increasingly dangerous foe, along with her current enemies. She spent months practicing this new weapon, and it grew to be her favorite. To this day, she practices to perfect her shot with a rifle, and she can be found around Thanalan, hunting big game to further train herself. However, she has recently rejoined the ranks of bloodsands gladiators as a Lanista, a trainer for all who seek glory in the Coliseum.
Personality
Against all odds, Mika is optimistic, cheerful, and overall a positive person, while still remaining calm and serious. She's calmed down from her younger, wilder days, but that doesn't mean that she's any less rambunctious and flirty. In battle, she's fierce, aggressive, and overall unpredictable. This doesn't mean that she'd hurt her allies, it just means that her enemies aren't winning too easily. Even with her ferocity, she's still analytical and aware of her surroundings, having the reflexes of a born warrior.
To the weak, poor, and homeless, she is compassionate. All of those have applied to her at one point in her life, and she

Recently, she has also taken on the guise of a Dark Knight, and has taken a liking to the unwieldy greatswords they use.
- Crafting: She knows basic weapon upkeep, and is able to craft some pretty nasty poisons. She's also a Bismarck-trained chef, so she can usually serve something to put a smile on someone's face.
