If one ever wanted a study in contradictions, they need look no further than one miss V’rasha Tenbe. A seeker of the sun who bears a tribe name, but no tribe. An Ala Mhigan, and a Monk, who has let all the fight leave her. A teacher who lives to spread a love of learning and covets her secrets dearly. V’rasha is not the world’s most beautiful, nor the world’s most powerful, or intelligent. But she is the culmination of her own life choices, and frankly?
She wouldn’t have it any other way.
Choice makes artwork of us all, for better or worse. V’rasha is no exception, though had she known where her choices would end up at, she might have arranged to spend her time differently. A perhaps overly polite way of saying that her canvas, such as it was, bore more than a few markings she would otherwise have liked to avoid.
Possessed of sun-kissed skin flaunted by most Seekers of the Sun, V’rasha nevertheless finds herself marred by a life of war turned to the sinews of building peace. Mayhap where her face may once have been a sculpture carved and wrought of the finest marble, it was now a soft thing, with opulent emeralds set firmly in a face now marred by constant smiling and too much time spent in the sun. And where one part of her body was subject to change over the years, so too was the rest of her. Once an iron demon hounding Garleans, her body had at last taken to the idle comforts of retirement and crafting. Thicker around the waist than she’d like, it was easy enough to call her heavily padded and leave it at that, with only the foremost signs of her former life showing up in the way her arms and legs carry the extra bulk with silken grace, and the undertones of muscle still there. All those details are fine enough on their own, one supposed, but the most telling thing about V’rasha is that if one looks hard enough they can likely find a story in every odd marking she has. The iron wrought hands that always seem to be recovering from too many years of hard labour, or the dozens of permanent fixtures making their home in the form of scars, scratches, and bites along her back and arms. No, there were no two ways about it. Choice made artwork out of all who lived. A painting’s worth a thousand words. And if one such painting happened to exist of V’rasha, it would scream two words a hundred times over. “Broken weapon.”Aspects That Stand Out:
V’rasha as a general rule, is fairly easy going. Whether this is the case out of necessity, or choice is up for debate, but the end result remains the same. A life time of strife having come to an end has left her as a mellow, and loving woman. As quick to admonish someone’s failings, as teach them how to avoid such a fate in the future. If ever there comes a time when it falls upon people to mend the world with thimble and thread instead of violence and force, you can trust V’rasha will be the first one to volunteer.
