[edit] Character History Interactions Rumors Miscellaneous APPEARANCE Yamabuki's hidden scars. Pale skinned just as her scales, Yamabuki's complexion does not necessarily match her build. About average Au Ra female height with more filled out hips and thighs, she is curvaceous with heavy-set breasts. Slightly shameful of her longer thick tail, she believes despite all saying otherwise, that she looks unfeminine because of it. She has long dark raven colored hair thats length reaches her waist, its dark color matches the striking contrast of her just as pitch black eyes. Typically dawning flashy jewelry, either made by herself or brought with her from Doma, Yamabuki is the epitome of traditional Doman Raen. Modest in dress, usually wearing dresses made by herself that cover her ankles with colors often described as 'muted' by most others; most would not see her showing much skin. Sometimes dawning red lipstick, or redder cheeks she tries to keep up pleasant appearances, saying "for some, appearances can mean life or death in this new world." Working with things up close to her face, Yamabuki has poor near-sight, and can occasionally be seen wearing her glasses for work. Unknown to those who never get the chance to see her skin, Yamabuki has scars across her back. DEMEANOR Following suit with her fair appearance, Yamabuki is polite and more often than not on the quiet side. Not to be mistaken for being shy, while she can have timid tendencies she is very open to meeting new people and broadening her horizons in Eorzea. Very courteous, kind and thoughtful, Yamabuki only wants to give others happiness. Despite her good intentions, her attempts to not be offensive at times have caused her to come off as cold or disinterested. She can also get very frustrated with others who openly disrespect people she likes, especially native Eorzeans. Although never vocalized, Yamabuki is a bit xenophobic really only trusting other Au Ra, most Raen, but she has opened up greatly to the Xaela she has met. Yamabuki is also a very hard worker, picking up any jobs she can to get by in this new world. P L A Y E R   C H A R A C T E R S Avalyn Piper ( ✖ ) While Yamabuki never did speak to Avalyn personally, she did take witness to the rant she went on to Tolujin right in front of her about Qunbish. Respecting Qunbish a great deal and not having the fondest impressions of Eorzeans, especially Hyur's, Yamabuki did not like this woman at all and was vocal about that to Qunbish. Cirina Malqir ( ≈ ) Only met with the Xaela woman once or twice. Is a healer from what she learned, but knows very little otherwise. Gyosei Tsuwamono ( 🌟 ) A Raen man Yamabuki had her eyes on for some days. Finally taking notice of her, the two of them talked with one another before making a journey to the Shroud. During that time they indulged on their lost home in Doma and their futures there in Eorzea. During the trip Gyosei made an offer to Yama she could just about not refuse. Unfortunately, she found that despite both of their interest in wanting to preserve traditions, there are some traditions worth changing. Heleric Torgud ( ≈ ) Error creating thumbnail: File missing While the two might have a bit of a bumpy relationship here and there, with Heleric preferring to be mostly nude and Yamabuki being very modest, the Raen woman does not let that effect her views of the painted Xaela. There is some cultural divide at times, but despite all, she holds no ill will, only believing the two can occasionally misunderstand one another. Qunbish Malqir ( 🌟 ) Error creating thumbnail: File missing A Sokhani Malqir ( 💘 💗 🌟 ) Error creating thumbnail: File missing After meeting Qunbish, he kindly introduced Yamabuki to more of his kin and friends. One in which was a rough looking Xaela who, despite being friendly enough compared to most people she had met in Eorzea, was still rather distant. Not that Yama minded too much, considering she had not planned to get too involved with many Xaela, a thought that was quickly dismissed when soon enough they became the only group she spent time with. Over time Yamabuki would see Sokhani here and there, being gone for long periods of time for work, and having little time to speak the Xaela, or much of anyone else. In the times she did see her, the Xaela offered her a roof over her head instead of the Pearl Lane alleys or to shop with her for new clothing. Sokhani began to show her friendship that she had never experienced, which was something she greatly appreciated. The Xaela was rough around the corners, but Yama could see despite all things she had a good heart. When the Xaela eventually brought Yamabuki to a stream she favored, and shared with her more personal information, Yamabuki began to feel more connected to Sokhani, the desire to be closer to her growing. Over time the two shared tender moments, and the Raen was finding herself attracted the woman. Torn over the fact Sokhani was with another solely, Yamabuki had given up on the idea of ever being with the darker Xaelean monk. However after much discussion and confirmation, it was decided they could express their fondness to one another. While at one point Yama could have admitted she was envious of Sokhani's partner, she does not consider it so now, even if it meant she had to share her friend. So long as she could be with her, that was all that mattered to her. Shunrai Akashi ( 💗🌟 ) Error creating thumbnail: File missing A martial artist from a temple back in Doma, Shunrai has been a resident for far more summers than Yamabuki has moons. Retaining his tradition as a Raen, a trait Yamabuki heavily admires in those of her kind, she has found a good friend in him. Another Doman she can look back on the past with and also plan forward toward the future. Being handsome and literate from his time in Eorzea, also quite light hearted when she was feeling most down upon her arrival, Yama harbors light feelings of romance for the man. She finds him to be a great person to potentially start a family with, but even with such she wishes to know more of him before deciding on such a matter. Tolujin hotgo ( 🌟 ) Error creating thumbnail: File missing A Turathar Hotgo ( 🌟 ) A heavily armored Xaela man, seemed to make a lot of emphasis on hurting those who did anything to someone he liked. Yamabuki helped him with his scales as she tends to offer to many, rubbing a salve on them to help them against the dryness of Thanalan. It was during that meeting that Qunbish came to find them, stopping to speak with Turathar about something. Yamabuki took it upon herself to not meddle into their conversation and did not listen to the details. Yunegen Malqir ( ≈ ) Qunbish's current wife. Yamabuki met Yunegen when brought back to their settlement one day. While the Raen though she had left a good impression and was polite in the presence of the tribal leaders wife, she was spoken to by Qunbish some time later, asked why she had treated the woman coldly. Having not meant to do such a thing, Yamabuki felt both very confused and ashamed of her actions.
