Basic Info
"Well....uhh...I'll do my best!" —Silvia Kuroi, when confronted with any situation.
A young Miqo'te woman born of the Seekers of the Sun. She was born in Limsa Lominsa in the Zu tribe, where she was raised until she left on her own for the hustle and bustle that made up the majestic city of Ul'Dah.
Naturally awkward and shy, Silvia finds herself more alone than she means to be, as approaching others is too much of a hassle compared to simply sucking it up and doing a task herself...for better or for worse. Although she is not much of a people person, she is still bright and cheery; lively enough to commit to any task with a brazen courage. Of course, that only comes to be a problem, as her innate desire to aid others can often overwhelm her.
Silvia, although born truly as S'ilvia, prefers the full name together, as a way to distance herself from her clan, and acclimate to the far different world that comprises Thanalan. In fact, trying to refer to her as S'ilvia, or even Ilvia, can cause an otherwise cheery Miqo'te to lose her mood completely.
An incredibly energetic girl, Silvia is almost exactly like how some Miqo'te behave: feline-like behaviors are occasionally all too present in her. She can be both impatient and nervous, sometimes running ahead in the battlefield due to either getting distracted or from her own self-worrying.
Within battle, though, she is rather hardy. Having trained herself through the Art of the Paladin, she can both hit hard and take tremendous damage. However, her potency for magic is low, and she can hardly cast the lowest of healing magics. Otherwise she makes for an incredible fighter, perfect for drawing unwanted attention (even on accident).

The Adventurers' Guild
- Upon arriving in Ul'Dah, Silvia's first stop was the Adventurers' Guild, as her welcome wagon consisted of a few helpful citizens to guide her first few steps. She was welcomed with open arms, and has since found herself at home with this Guild, as well as many others. Although as of late she is hard-pressed to return here, as other greater adventures await her in far away lands.
The Gladiator's Guild
- Putting it upon herself to become a great hero, she envisions the Gladiator's Guild, and hopefully then the Sultansworn, to be the ends that will reach her goal. As such, from upon her first free moment in Ul'Dah, she spent her days training here: practicing the art of the sword and shield while aiding the Guild in whatever matters befit the Guildmaster.
Although Silvia has since gone on to greener pastures, she is still a full member of this Guild.
Free Paladins
- Through her adventures, Silvia was eventually inducted as a Paladin. Her goal was finally reached, more or less, though it barely seemed filling with how she was treated, both as a newbie and a Miqo'te from another land. She buries herself in menial tasks, even though her mind still yearns for something more.

Before Dalamud's Fall
Birth and childhood (0-10)
S'ilvia Kuroi was born to S'kuroi Nunh of one of many La Noscean Miqo'te Clans. From her birth S'ilvia lived with no idea of who her mother was, or any reason to care, though in some fashion she did yearn to know who her mother had been.. She lived with her clan, sheltered from the outside world and served solely aid her clan and the passing Nunh's. At a young age she witnessed her father's defeat by a far stronger Tia, replacing him as the new Nunh. This display set in motion a small distaste for the clan's hierarchy, as the women of the clan held no position, and the Nunh's would come and go without any care regarding if the new Nunh was more capable than just being able to defeat the previous one.
Her own father hardly helped, as he was more content with drinking and lazing around than deal with his daughter's constant antics for fun and adventure. Seeing how S'kuroi hardly cared upon being replaced, Silvia grew to dislike him as well, as his sloth-like behavior was just as bad as the rest of the clan.
With her distaste for her own home and family increasing, Silvia found herself drawn to the city of Limsa Lominsa, where she could witness the passing-by of many knights, nobles, and other various adventurers. She would find herself content in sitting by the large Aetheryte crystal and simply watch as the many denizens of Eorzea passed her by.
She would heard the tales of various deeds, and slowly her dream was formed: be like them. Travel to the far off lands of the Shroud and Thanalan, where sprites and demons were said to roam. Fight mighty beasts and dragons, as well as strange creatures she had never heard of, but grew to fear anyways.
Whenever she returned home to her clan, from there on out she would spend every spare moment in practicing her swordsmanship with any stick that she could find.
Over time the distance between herself and her clan grew, and the feeling of isolation only made her anxiety worse: making it harder and harder to even speak to her own kin.
Teen Years
As S'ilvia aged, her distaste with her clan continued to grow. She found herself consistently at ends with the ideas of her people, disliking the secular nature of her clan, while she was hardly brave enough to press her complaints. Had it not been for the presence of Dalamud, and the eventual Calamity, she may have left the clan earlier, but the fear of Dalamud and the Calamity forced her to stay, fearful of the beasts and monsters.
Her teen years shook her resolve to be an adventurer, as she heard the tales from the Lominsan denizens of the great monsters that had appeared and slaughtered many capable fighters.
Over time the clan forbade her from even leaving home, as the threat of the Calamity only worsened.
After Dalamud's Fall
Adulthood
A Realm Reborn (Present, 20)
On her twentieth nameday, S'ilvia became Silvia, and left her clan in the middle of the night. Twenty years she had served this clan, and twenty years she had grown tired of it. She loved her people, she loved the old ways of the Miqo'te, but she wanted something more. There was a world to see, people to save, and Silvia was still firm in the belief that she could be there to do it.
She set out on her own to Ul'Dah, where she knew that the great Gladiator's Guild and the powerful Sultansworn Paladins were. First by sea she traveled to the main continent, and from there she traveled through Thanalan by chartered carriage.
Her eyes bulged out as she saw this new land, and all the wondrous things it held. Strange new monsters! A whole land she had never seen before...this was it, a place she could truly explore and go on many great adventures in.
Fighting against Garlemald, aiding many Guilds and the peoples of Eorzea, and fighting for Hydealyn. Although she is now a Paladin, and still finds herself in many crazy adventures, Silvia can feel that there is still more to do. Although she has reached her goal, she still feels hollow: the grace of the Paladin was not at all what it was cracked up to be.
