Appearance

An athletic body that you’d find most swimmers to have, his upper arms and legs have more bulk. His body is currently scar free due to having healers mend his small wounds from hunting. The first thing most notice about him is his tail. The large black fluffy tail is near his size in length and width. The second thing would be his ears, lined in gold jewelry. Variations of chains, bars, studs, hoops, and gems line his ears and jingle when they move. The third would be his eyes, the right near black and the left crimson. His pupils are also oddly shaped for his kind. Not a Keepers wide round pupil, not a Seekers sharp pointed slit. He has a mix that dilates much like a house cats. The pupil generally sits at a slight point in mild thickness. His face holds four tiger stripe markings that he inherited from his father. His body is a medium smoky grey tone that compliments his ebon and crimson fur/hair. The black claws that rest at the tip of his fingers are slightly pointed, and can extend and contract on his command. Aside from the earrings his other jewelry would consist of a small silver stud tongue ring and a gold decorative belly ring.

Fashion of Choice: He tends to favor black leathers and silks. There are rare occasions he will wear other materials. As for style, he wears anything form fitting and jackets. Generally tight leather pants and long thigh high leather boots that hug his frame. When he is too hot he will walk around shirtless in order to keep his body temperature down.

History

Dayst grew up in the Eastern Shroud with his mother, not ever knowing his father. She raised him to be a well respected breeder of the tribe as well as helper that would assist by doing various mundane tasks around the camp. Due to Dayst’s upbringing he is unable to be relaxed around Keeper women. He will listen and obey their every wish if they wish it. As he grew older he wanted to learn more about hunting. Teaching himself how to use the bow. It wasn’t until later after he left his tribe, when his coming of age ceremony, did he find a master to teach him more advanced skills. Dayst now travels Eorzea in order to find his father and reunite his family, with the help of his half-brother D'aezreal Tia.

Religion/Philosophy: Dayst doesn’t follow any certain guardian, but his tribe follows Menphina. When he passes through Ul’dah he will pray to the guardian Nald’thal for profit on his journey.

Positive Personality Traits: Loyal to friends, Honest, Trustworthy, Compassionate, Charming, Carefree, Witty, Charismatic

Negative Personality Traits: Naive, occasionally immature, when drunk he starts fights, the complete obliteration of anyone that harms someone he loves/cares about, won’t allow his true emotions to be shown in front of anyone if possible, possible to being a tad clingy, sometimes get highly emotional to the point he can seem self-centered.

Misc. Quirks: Has an obsession with his appearance. When it comes to sexual related things and lovers he doesn’t care if who he is messing around with sleeps with another. The only thing he asks for is honesty. Secrets or hiding information from him when he asks is a good way to lose his trust and possible relationship connection. He loves animals, almost a childlike fondness. Can’t play an instrument outside of randomly clicking or strumming. Hums off key with just about everything he tries to sing. When feeling the most relaxed he will hum the lullaby of his tribe. Hordes all his earned gil unless it comes to his brothers desires. When he is truly comfortable with someone he will find himself occasionally pressing his forehead into theirs in a loving manner. Clicks his tongue ring when in deep thought or nervous.

Special Abilities: Like most bards he is able to channel his aether to be able to enhance his skills. However he is horrible at singing or playing instruments, thus his group abilities aside from swiftsong may not work. So if you are in his party and he casts it, be ready for the skill to mess up in some of the most bizarre ways. He is also able to use multiple arrows at once, or consecutively. As for non-job related skills. He has enhanced sense of smell, taste and hearing. Though he is a Miqo’te, his eyes are not able to adjust to lighting like a full breed Keeper/Seeker. This hinders his sight in the darkest of nights and the brightest of days.

His father only knew his name but not where he resided. Day spent his time outside of being with company to pursue his brother. Finally convinced him to run away from the family that enslaved him. Only just discovering his brother in the last year, he’s taken the more nurturing side. Being the ‘big brother’ and making sure that all of D’aezreal’s needs are met. When he finds an interesting piece of jewelry or cloth along his travels, he saves it to surprise his brother upon his return. ♥ Tillian Himaa His first mate and an Au Ra he met at The Quicksand he found him to be rather interesting. At first Tillian hid his true form in a Miqo'te body but soon reviled himself to Dayst. Though he should of been scared at the unknown race he found that he was even more curious to find out more about the man. After awhile he grew to love him deeply. He’d spend days sitting in his lap, watching him study. Though the subject worried him, but he supported his choice nonetheless. As time went by their time together grew far and few between. Till would leave for moons at a time, appearing for only a night or two. Currently Dayst is unsure of his whereabouts, but there are often times he catches himself looking over his shoulder due to feeling a familiar gaze on him, though no one is ever there when he looks. ♥ Ranulf Squires Though this man has changed many times since they’ve met, his place in Dayst’s heart hasn’t. Ranulf is very dear to the half-breed. And looking into his eyes soothes him more so than any other. There are times he craves for his company and will call on him if he is too far out of reach.
