Appearance

U'Quih is on the tall side for his race, with black hair and pink highlights, especially on his ear-tips. He is almost always wearing his glasses, both to allow him to read, and he thinks they make him look good! He is on the skinny side, but without much muscle-tone, the amount of 'mage padding' the Seeker sports entirely dependent on his diet. He tries to dress as immaculately and flatteringly as he can, favoring clothes that show off his body nicely, especially after some of his mates more exhibitionist habits have started to wear off.

History

He was born in a small splinter tribe, any memory of which except vague details and the happier memories of his childhood have been thoroughly repressed, and until the time he left he was the only other male besides his father--which resulted in his being exiled when the inconvenient fact of his preferring the company of other males became apparent. After spending some time wandering the desert near-death, he was picked up by a huntress of the Drake tribe, who brought him to Forgotten Springs, where his nature was less of a detriment, until he finally left to move to Ul'dah, in search of companionship and to grow more in life.

And it was in Ul'dah where he finally found a niche for himself in life, dedicating himself to the study of the arcane, studying with the Thaumaturges of the Ossuary, where he excelled until a growing dissatisfaction with offensive magic (and combat and fighting in general) led him to learn the healing arts, both mundane and magical--especially the ways in which Arcanistry can be used to heal, since... due to an unfortunate phobia of trees, learning Conjury is not something he has been able to do. As a side job and primary source of income, he also does goldsmithing and fine metalwork, jewelery, locks, clockwork mechanisms and enchanted gadgets all being his speciality.

It was also in Ul'dah that he met the single biggest stabilizing influence of his life, A'xun Enocan, his mate and love, who he adores and provides a source of confidence and strength for the shy, nerve-wracked Seeker.

Personality

Not exactly of a forthright nature to begin with, the entirety of his childhood has left U'Quih a quite skittish and shy disposition, tending to stutter or stay quiet when in new or different social circles, though both facets of his personality tend to fade the more comfortable he is with his companions--or, if his mate is nearby, can disappear entirely leaving him a slightly snarky, bubbly character who can be surprisingly outgoing, if incredibly easy to embarrass or send back into a stuttering shell at the slightest provocation.
