[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors Gallery OOC Notes ✖ GENERAL INFORMATION ✖ Khonrahd was once an adventerur in Doma before being forced to flee to Eorzea from the Garlean Empire's threat - losing friends and family while battling against the Garlean Empire, where his clan was wiped and he was forced to flee along with many of the Raen, which he'd done successfully. Khonrahd now travels as a violin-playing Bard who seeks to find a new home and a new purpose to his life. On the side away from combat, he is an artist and musician with a curious and creative heart and mind. He sassy, bitter, and an emotionally repressed person that is difficult to strike up conversations with. He generally means well and attempts to do the "right" thing. ✖ APPEARANCE ✖ Khonrahd is a male Xaela Au Ra – physically represented by the black scales, horns, and tail that adorns the rest of his body. He is on average, shorter than majority of males of his kind at a height of 5'8" and is lean from constant traveling and combat. He has black hair with red streaks, as well as dark eyes with red umbra rings. His skin is the color of ivory which lacks any noticeable blemishes asides from clear scars on his back, or body hair asides from the hair on his scalp and eyebrows. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ His umbra rings are a bright red and even glow in the dark. ■ His teeth have canines that are somewhat noticeable and stands out mostly when grinning. ■ He almost always looks pretty pissed. ■ He is often found wearing black or dark red in terms of colors of his clothing. ✖ PERSONALITY ✖ Khonrahd is rather neurotic and temperamental. He is very anxious often due to paranoia and has quite the judgmental attitude. He is quick to lash out at others due to anger management issues, and also often has quite a bitter and snarky attitude towards majority of situations and people - and surprisingly, it fits his almost permanent expression of constantly disappointed and angry. Despite the negativity that Khonrahd expresses to others upon general impression, he does care a lot about the people who have taken the time to get to know him, do him favors, or attempted to bond with him in some way or form. Despite still giving friends his general attitude, he will attempt to help and protect them - going out of his way to do so as he feels those people would do for him. ❤ L I K E S ❤ ■ MEN. While Khonrahd is not entirely a man that is a flaming homosexual (somewhat debatable in some circumstances), he often finds himself being more comfortable around men than he does women. That being said, he is a demisexual who has a tendency to lean in the interest of men comparatively to the women around him. ■ COFFEE. Khonrahd has quite the ridiculous addiction to coffee. The guy never sleeps. Is it because he gets nightmares, has insomnia, or just drinks too much coffee because he loves the shit? No one has really ever figured it out quite yet, and to be honest he doesn't care to find out. ■ COEURLS. Coeurls, to Khonrahd, are the cutest and coolest animals to exist in all of Hydaelyn. He adores their feline-like appearances, and upon any chance to hold or pet any of the young of a coeurl, he will take it without a second thought. If he starts murmuring something about "the little beans," he's probably referring to the paws of a coeurl. ☣ D I S L I K E S ☣ ■ GARLEANS. The Garleans are the enemy of Khonrahd, along with many Au Ra. The Garleans are directly responsible for the wiping of his clan during the Garlean invasion of Doma, ripping the lives of his family away from him. He has a deep-seated rage and hatred towards loyal Garleans and has no qualms about ending the lives of a Garlean or a loyal member of the Empire - in fact he's petty and bitter so chances are it would make him feel better about himself. ■ STRANGERS. Due to Khonrahd's anxiety issues, he finds himself having a hard time talking to and adjusting to new people. He often has a lot of difficulty communicating properly to others in regards to how he feels - and is generally against doing so due to inherit paranoia. While it is more than possible for Khonrahd to communicate with others and approach other people, the likeliness of Khonrahd approaching anyone for pleasure or friend-seeking means is very low. ■ CITRUS. This is rather self-explanatory. The taste of citrus is shit and Khonrahd will probably tell you it's shit, too. ⇸ H O B B I E S ⇷ ■ DRAWING. Khonrahd can be found occasionally scribbling into a leather-bound notepad with a stick of graphite. He will often sketch people he sees, creatures, landscapes, or nature into his journal. ■ MUSIC. Khonrahd as a bard often takes the time to play tunes on his violin and sing to them. However, he often gets subconscious in front of large groups of people and because of this, he starts getting some stage fright. Otherwise in small crowds, he is completely fine - and even might dance a bit (he practices) as he performs. ■ GATHERING. One of the largest past times of being part of the Xaela Ackhunleq clan was gathering for materials. The Ackhunleq clan were often known for their gathering and archery abilities. They were a highly nomadic clan that moved around Othard and kept a small number of clan members for easier traveling purposes. Due to gathering being a past time for him during his days of existing with his clan members, he finds gathering - be it botany, fishing, or mining - in of itself to be very calming and nostalgic. ✺ S T R E N G T H S ✺ ■ AGILE. Khonrahd is very skilled in anything relating to the use of hands or anything that requires significant agility. This was a skill that was gained through many years of archery, gathering, and cooking. Due to being agile, he is also very quick on his feet and is capable of doing dexterous things with his hands that most people would not be able to do - like being able to dance or play a violin skillfully. ■ ATTRACTIVE. As pretentious as this may sounds, back when he was in Doma Khonrahd was often complimented on his appearance - many by strangers when traveling through cities full of Raen Au Ra. He knows well that he has quite a pretty face - and more often than not this has gotten him favors with people instead where most people may have been shrugged away. ■ ARTISTICALLY INCLINED. Playing the violin instrument and being able to sing and draw are all different kinds of an artistic expertise. Whether or not it was his vague interest in the arts ever since he was a young Au Ra, or because he was blessed by Byregot in some way - his ability in the arts came naturally like a gift from the twelve. ☠ W E A K N E S S E S ☠ ■ SOCIALLY INEPT. With his paranoia and constant anxiety, it makes it very difficult for Khonrahd to speak to others in regards to pleasure or friendly conversation. His paranoia attempts to force Khonrahd to distance himself from other people who try to get close - and little people have actually managed to get Khonrahd to open up on a basis of friendship. He often appears as someone who holds contempt for others and is cold, and this demeanor only aids to helping others feel rejected by Khonrahd. ■ VOLATILE BEHAVIORS. Khonrahd due to excessive emotional baggage will often attempt to be aloof, distant, and cold. There are situations where this stress will pop out in the form of lashing towards others - be it strangers, friends, or lovers. He has copious amounts of anger management issues and is easily frustrated by annoying situations - where he will continuously focus on them and let form an into a white seething ball of hate until he explodes at someone who probably doesn't deserve it. ■ PTSD. Due to the Garlean attack that erased his clan almost entirely save for himself, there was an unfortunate circumstance that involved in a large amount of bodily harm while running from the Garleans when he found that the battle his clan attempted with the Garleans was going to be for naught. Due to that circumstance and the battle - it has left a large scar on his mental state. He will occasionally be reminded of the attack and pain in certain situations, but majority of the affects of the PTSD comes from vivid nightmares of what he faced (although these are not the only symptoms he experiences) - and thus makes it very difficult for Khonrahd to actually be able to sleep properly. ☬ M O T I V A T I O N S ☬ ■ VENGEANCE. Ever since his clan's family and existence was practically taken away by the Garleans, Khonrahd exists now to constantly itch to return the favor. He often makes it his business to cause a problem for the Empire at any chance he can get. ■ A NEW HOME. Since becoming a refugee and having to run from Doma and staying on the lands of Eorzea - he's lost his home and clan. He hopes to eventually find a new place to be a peace with himself and exist to live a calm and happy life - one that he wished for but was never granted. ■ FINDING PURPOSE. In Doma, his future was mostly set for him. He would stay within his clan, battle and gather and trade with the local cities and exist forward to take care of the clan's young and better the standing of the clan. Becoming a refugee ruined his plans, and his future - uncertain to himself. On the boat trip from Doma to one of the ports of Gridania - Khonrahd had gotten acquainted with Mother Miounne when he had initially landed as an adventurer and a refugee. Mother Miounne was kind enough to let Khonrahd stay within the Carline Canopy for a while as he attempted to get back on his feet from being chased out of his homelands, and reassert himself within Gridania to help those who were kind enough to let him stay. ❋ PCS ❋ Luze Wyrth, Traveling Partner. (♥) - Gaudiest Black Mage Character's Thoughts: "He's an Au Ra, which I suppose is reason to make him bearable to be around, but I have never met someone who was borderline gaudier than all of the grand saucer. Quite frankly, it's almost painfully tacky - and sometimes he's fucking annoying, unsurprisingly." Ever since the beginning of the escape from Doma, there have been many situations where Khonrahd and Luze have met by accident. It wasn't until Khonrahd began to travel to other regions of Eorzea where he ran into Luze once again. It wasn't long until Khonrahd realized that Luze had been following him around in an attempt to keep in touch and try to travel with Khonrahd has he carried out his business - being as weird as it was Khonrahd figured having a traveling partner would not have been so bad, and decided that it was fine for him to be one. Eventually, throughout their travels and a lot of the shit they've been through together, they ended up developing some idea of romantic feelings for one another - while they've been able to openly express their interest to one another, the attempts at doing so is a cultural struggle, followed by a lot of misunderstandings in that attempt to express their emotions to one another. ✖ RUMORS ✖ ✥ N P C ✥ Some of these rumors are untrue, speculation, or are greatly exaggerated. ◢ Common Rumors - Easily overheard. I'm commonly known around the internet as Sheepy and SheepyCloud - and I appreciate that you've taken interest in Khonrahd! You'll probably find that I'm rather silly and talkative. I always enjoy RPing with others despite having a character that's pretty difficult in of itself, but I always like to present myself with a challenge. I can often be found on FFXIV during the day, and seldom night when I can't find the ability to sleep. my time zone is EST, and you can also contact me via Discord, which is Sheepy#7231 - but I probably won't add you if I don't know who you are first, so please let me know before you add me! Personal RP Limits My RP style generally tends to fluctuate depending on style of the person I RP with. I can range anywhere between a purely casual RPing style and a literate RP style. I am also still trying to figure out the code and text workings of FFXIV, so it may take me awhile to adjust. I am totally open to walk-ups (yay, improv!) and even tells! ■ I will play with all different types of OCs. Even though Khonrahd prefers to speak with men also doesn't mean that he can't RP with women - in fact all different kinds of OCs and characters are welcome to approach Khonrahd as long as you respect my personal RP boundaries. I am also open to RPing walk-ups and RPing in tells. ■ I won't play sexual themes or attempt to RP with people who are not good at following basic RP etiquette. It's very difficult to enjoy RPing when partners either god mode or meta-game - and frankly that's not an experience that I enjoy subjecting myself to. I also have no interest in leaving my Free Company, since it is a Free Company of most of my friends that are aside my RPing interests. Disclaimer Note these when you RP with me. ■ While I have no interest in leaving my Free Company, Bird (who's character is Luze Wyrth) and myself actually own a Linkshell where we will often RP in for the sake of group RP but for a sense of character privacy as well. ■ One of my biggest struggles as an RPer is often that I will have difficulty approaching others or being able to work on starters. While I will definitely try to go out of my way to interact with others - the nature of Khonrahd makes it somewhat difficult for me as well. I really appreciate people who will go out of their way to approach Khonrahd and attempt to communicate with him despite all of this - and I do try my best to give a response that is in character and someone that is more than able to respond to! ■ Due to the nature of Khonrahd Ackhunleq as a character - it can be very difficult for him to be compatible with other characters sometimes. Personally, I will not adjust the character of Khonrahd to become friends with yours or be a romantically interested partner of some sort. I like to be true to the personality and desires of my character. Knowing this approaching Khonrahd, please be aware it may also take time for him to adjust to people as a character - but you may find an OOC message from me here and there pretty regularly. ■ While I absolutely do endorse friendships and romantic interests - I also heavily endorse rivals and enemies! Character interactions are important, even the troublesome ones - and helps to character building. To be honest, interacts between people who could easily be enemies or hate eachother are interactions that are rather interesting and are a kind of challenge that I appreciate. It forces me to think outside of the box in relation to my character and what I'm used to, and it's important to me as a writer and important to the development of Khonrahd. ■ For those who know about the web comic "Hanna is Not a Boy's Name", this name will be familiar to you in terms of pronunciation. This character IS indeed an AU version of the character Conrad Achenleck. You will find that Khonrahd in many aspects is rather different than Conrad, due to adjustments made to fit him into the FFXIV lore. Another way you can put this is that Khonrahd is equivalent to Conrad, but Conrad is NOT equivalent to Khonrahd - in a sense. ❇ CHARACTER TIDBITS ❇ Potential Plot Hooks Due to the nature of Khonrahd's character - he has a hard time talking and communicating with others - and that rings absolutely true to approaching others. More often than not he has immense difficulty approaching other people, and is more due to stare, watch, and judge. Because of his personality - it also makes it rather hard for others to approach him, considering he almost looks angry all the time if people are not already acquainted with Khonrahd. However, there are exists ways people have managed to communicate with Khonrahd before. ■ Send me a tell, OOC. We can try to work out a scenario in which there is a forced interaction between our characters - I like to think I have enough creativity to come up with situations like these - all you have to do is ask! ■ Khonrahd may often be found conversing with other characters. I tend to RP majorly when a friend is online and we feel like RPing together. Majority of the people that I'm RPing with are cool with people joining in on an RP scenario - we find it fun actually! Just make sure to be respectful in regards to taking turns while RPing, and if you're still unsure you're free to send me an OOC tell in-game. ■ Khonrahd may also be occasionally playing a song on his violin - whether be it he's trying to make a bit of money on the side or he's just bored - it is a source of interaction I often will use a lot, considering that he IS a bard. I will often list the song he's playing - I may post a link or simply the title, and expect people to visit the wiki page and find the link, generally depending on the crowd. You're free to try and interact during these times! Character Lore Adherence As stated previously, I will not make attempts to change or adjust Khonrahd's personality for the sake of compatibility with other characters. That is untrue to my character and more often than not makes it very difficult for me to continue to RP Khonrahd as Khonrahd. Here are some important things to note regarding lore and references that I will make for Khonrahd. ■ I will attempt to follow the general lore of FFXIV - and sometimes will make subtle references to Khonrahd being a warrior of light along with Luze Wyrth. If a part of my RP actions is not consistent with RP lore, it may be because that section of lore was in 1.0 or I don't know about it at all. In either case, I would prefer that you tell me so I would be able to adjust properly and fix my character if at all possible. ■ With Khonrahd being a Xaela Au Ra with a dead clan - that means that there will be a few cultural differences that are subtle that vary within Khonrahd's habits - since Xaela clans often lived separately from each other. If there is a strange habit being made that you might find weird, ask me - and I can clarify whether or not it is an aspect of Khonrahd's culture or if it is a mistake, but if it doesn't look like a mistake and intentional, it is probably an aspect of Khonrahd's clan's culture.
