Wyna Kossori

Wyna Kossori (Wii-nuh Koh-soh-rii) is a player character in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, currently presiding within the realms of Cactuar, Balmung and Gilgamesh.

A Dunesfolk Lalafell of Ishgardian upbringing. The exact year of birth is unknown, as is an official status in relation to The Battle of Carteneau.

Formally regarded as 'Master' Kossori, Founder and Chief of the Kossori Commonwealth.

The Basics

Appearance

• Gender: Biologically intersex, naturally feminine presentation, prefers male pronouns when offered.

• Height: 38 ilm, just reaching above three fulm, on the taller end of the lalafellin race.

• Weight: 49 ponze, and at constant odds with the uneven number.

• Body: Wind-burnt cheeks from the cold of Ishgard, otherwise unmarked by any scars or bruises. Petite and a bit frail, built for nothing more than agility and intelligence, physical prowess is limited to only having a bit of extra bulk.

• Hair: Shimmering, silver and cerulean, cut neatly in an a-line frame around face. Always well-maintained and never a piece out of place.

• Eyes: Reflective, metallic amber. Somewhat scrutinizing gaze that occasionally threatens to become mischievous.

• Skin: Milky, moonlit peach. Rather pale for a dunesfolk, a trait attributed through a mixture of genetics and having been raised under those oppressively snowy skies of Ishgard.

• Inventory Quirks: Carries sleep potions, a vial of preserved red rose petals and another more colorful vial of gemstone chippings as personal effects.

Morals:

• Often found ranting of honesty, fidelity and compassion above all else.
• Maintains spiritual ambiguity and does not wish to be affiliated with any religion in particular, but can be seen praying and using evangelical terms on common basis.
• Partakes and vehemently supports the relatively unknown practice of polyfidelity, freely introducing both the wife and their husband when any chance arises.
• Likes to keep all scales even, including when it comes to lending a hand and forms of compensation.

Family:

Wyna is hinted to have come from a somewhat troubled background and thus is rare with familial sentiments, but has on occasion spoken fondly of the father's side. A little digging from Ishgard to Eastern Thanalan uncovers the following lineage-

• Father: Jijiri Kossori-- Dunesfolk Lalafell-- Traveling Bard, architect and professional carpenter. Outside the scandalous rumors floating about of having fostered a child (or two) with the Lady Yshiel from House Haillenarte (formerly), little is known of this man including his status as dead or alive.

• Paternal Grandmother: Desari Kossori-- Dunesfolk Lalafell-- Ul'Dahn Socialite and Songstress. Rumors suggest that the songstress is a direct descendant of the now snuffed out Sil'dih royal family. Whereabouts unknown, . She is temperamental and prone to lovers quarrels, having left behind a handful of jilted (ex)husbands after wedding for spoils. Estranged from her two adult sons (one blood, the other by adoption), they believe their mother Desari, "Miss Desire", to have faced an early death for her unrestrained indulgences in luxury among other excess.

• Paternal Uncles: Wyna sometimes chats (quite happily) about an uncle-by-adoption, brother to her father Jijiri. Said uncle is currently alive and lovingly wed to another man which Wyna regards just as well. Both uncles are rumored to have worked faithfully in service of The Silver Bazaar before later retiring together to "a cozy cottage 'cross the sea". Their childless union has not been well received by all in the immediate family, but Wyna considers them as dearly as kings and will allow no contest.

• Mother: Yshiel Haillenarte-- Duskwight Elezen-- Ecclesiastical Seer & Astrologian. Widower Remnant of the House of Haillenarte. After a complicated transition from living sheltered among her family to being married off by arrangement, the Lady's first husband was knighted and lost to battle in the Holy See. Widowed with little more than proper land and title and of no heir to speak, she sought guidance from the Ishgardian Orthodox Church and then instead found herself 'free to pursue pilgrimage' in service to their faith. During one such pilgrimage, Yshiel became swept up into a series of romantic encounters from a traveling bard and his band. While and it seemed they might stay in love, they married and divorced in an agonizing turn of events.. Wyna is of Yshiel's unnamed and unspoken of first-born children and was initially conceived as a 'blessed' coupling of twins, though the second soul did not make it to birth. This simultaneous birth and death of her first blood left Yshiel permanently scarred, and a great darkness began.. Wyna is not known by name among Ishgardians, though . Another sibling (female) was produced half a decade later and then after the divorce, two more (both males) followed in a future marriage. In time these developments came under severe scrutiny and she was ultimately called to face trial, a suspected heretic, though her execution failed and the details are becoming unspoken of. Her most recent husband and two sons are also missing, the husband rumored to have been killed by poisoning. Her land was razed, her title revoked and she is now known as the 'Shadow of House Haillenarte' with few willing to speak of her time there after. Her whereabouts are unknown; Yshiel simply vanished, both from an execution and all memory.
