[edit] Details Personality Relationships Rumors OOC Notes GENERAL INFORMATION Bea Wynter is a Ala Mhigan (former refugee) that has spent most of her life in Ul'dah after the Garlean conquest of Gyr Abania, although with the rather recent liberation of Ala Mhigo from imperial rule she has seeked to find mercenary work and return to her homeland. Having fled her home of Ala Ghiri as a child along with her father, since then she has grown to become a competent swordsman and a formidable opponent for anyone unlucky enough to be at the end of her blade, which had formerly belonged to her father. She has most recently acted as part of the reinforcements for the Immortal Flames during the battle in the Ghimlyt Dark, though she was lucky enough to not have to join the fight as a stalemate bogged down the Garlean offensive. APPEARANCE Standing at impressive height, and with a stocky frame typical of an Ala Mighan Highlander. Another trait is her moderately tanned skin, a cause of her Ala Mhigan genes and a life under the scorching Sun of Thanalan, with rough, brown hair reaching down to the back of her neck. It seems that covering her entire frame is small scars and she never seems to be free from her bruises, and her lazy hazelnut colored eyes seem to glint crimson in the right light. Aspects That Stand Out: ■ The large scar driven horizontally over her right eye. ■ Although being of 28 summers old, she has a rather youthful face. PERSONALITY Described mostly as brash by others, she's got a very no-nonsense attitude - though there's no denying the friendliness that comes with it. She might come across as a bit of a hate-the-world (the world being Ul'dah), but the truth is, she's willing to entertain any traveler that needs it with casual conversation and a hearty chuckle. L I K E S ■ Swords. Although loathe to admit her weird obsession, she has been known to have a certain fondness for sharp sticks of the sword variety. ■ Complaining. She loves to complain, from mundane annoyances to the current Eorzean political climate, though that's not to say she's particularly knowledgeable about the latter. D I S L I K E S ■ Imperialism of the Garlean variety. Having witnessed her nation invaded and it's people beaten and destroyed under Garlean rule, she's come to detest that kind of foreign policy. If you are a Garlean apologist, chances are you will get a fist to the face. ■ Wine. Why in Rhalgr's name do people drink this stuff?!. H O B B I E S ■ Sword maintenence. Although she'd have you believe that keeping her sword in top shape is a boring chore, the truth is she enjoys it as it reminds her of days gone by with her father. ■ Adventure. Although she styles herself as a hardy mercenary, the truth is the favourite part of the lifestyle is the exploration and discovery. She's a fan of new experiences, when those new experiences aren't out of her wage budget of course. S T R E N G T H S ■ Swordsmanship. Although typical of any Ala Mhigan, her swordsmanship is impressive none-the-less. Having learned from her father, a soldier formerly of the Ala Mhigan Royal Army and then of the Immortal Flames, she was a dutiful student of the blade. ■ Fitness. She keeps herself in tip-top shape and has the stamina and work-ethic of a horse.. or a Chocobo. W E A K N E S S E S ■ Cockiness. When in the zone, it's easy for her to become overconfident in combat, thus exposing an exploitable weakness for experienced foes. Personally, I try to stick within the lore but I won't make a fuss over it at all, saying that, I prefer partners to also adhere to the in-game lore as much as possible.
