General

Ael is a gruff mercenary originally hailing from Limsa Lominsa. Little about him known; he only rarely speaks of himself and his past.

Name

Given Name: Unknown.

Nicknames and Aliases: He simply calls himself Ael, which coincidentally quite similar to his favorite drink.

Appearance

Perhaps in a stark contrast to his personality, Ael has a very fair appearance with snowy white hair, pale skin, and eyes the lightest shade of blue. His ivory locks are slightly spiked and messy, but trimmed very short as to not be a burden. His white brows are bushy but arched, his nose straight and even, eyes deeply set, cheekbones high, and his jaw strong and squared. He has a narrow face with relatively handsome and masculine features, complemented by a thin scruff of facial hair above his upper lip in two pencil-thin lines and upon his chin in a short goatee, though the light color of the hair can almost let it go unnoticed. A thick line of a scar stretches up from his jaw to his cheekbone, marring the left side of his face. He possess a few other light scars, but none comparable to the distinguishable line across his cheek. He stands around 6'3", broad-shouldered with a strong and sturdy form, well-sculpted with muscle thanks to a strict regime of training and work. He maintains a confident but generally relaxed posture.

Speech

He speaks a slurred and accented speech, a pattern of speech most would accredit to Lominsa, somewhat resembling a Scottish/Irish dialect. Despite his manner of pronunciation, his grammatical skills and vocabulary seem passable.

Behavior

Ael travels from town to town, typically drinking and relaxing and searching for whatever work comes his way. He will do any job that's worth the pay. He rarely takes shadier jobs, not because of any moral objections, but because the pay is rarely worth the risks for such tasks. He's very dedicated to his own health and survival, leading one to think he may be harsh on himself with high expectations (he trains regularly, rarely allows himself to get drunk beyond a slight buzz, etc.). He typically keeps to himself and does not go out of his way to strike up conversation with others, but is comfortable and content enough in the conversation when others approach him that anyone can surmise he's likely not shy or a loner.

Stanislas Corinthius: - Ael's Father. Judging from Ael's offhand remarks, his father was incredibly harsh on him and strict, but he has the utmost respect for the man who taught him how to wield an axe and is apparently responsible for the large scar across his cheek.

Valerius Corinthius: - Ael's younger brother, still a toddler.
