What is known for certain is that he was born Wowonji Totonji and received the nickname "Wart" during his time in the Brass Blades, which he joined at age sixteen, immediately after Ala Mhigo was occupied. At some point, Wart's patriotism for Ul'dah was completely reversed and he expatriated from the city-state. The cycles between whenever he left Ul'dah and the Calamity are full of hazy information.
