Marrow is the daughter of a Hyur woman known as Eve, and the Elder Primal known as Bahamut. Brought forth into the world by the followers of Bahamut's extremism, she is known as the Bahamutkin. After the events of the End of the Era, she was brought on to end the second Era by her adoptive parents, the unknown religious extremists who brought her into the world. She, however, rejected their choice, and instead fled into the world, never looking back. Her Bahamut-bred powers of flame and destruction are sated only by the acquiring of her Crystal, which would appear to her at her Twentieth Moon Age. Until then she wanders as a loner, always fearful of coming into contact with others, due to her touch being near flammable.

However, this is due to her powers; she's absolutely terrified of hurting other people and instead finds a life of solitude the 'only way' to get by.
