Nik stumbled into the cave when he started hearing a voice begging for help, and stumbled into the cave. While he was fascinated with the Orichalcon that was also in the cave, he was more intrigued in the Miqo'te girl that was locked behind bars. He realized that she was the voice beckoning to him, and he then saved her from her cruel prison, breaking her chains and adopting her as his sister. Because she did not remember her true name, Nik gave her the name Rena, and added his surname Gran as well, with her accepting the name greatly! He had to get used to Rena's eating habits, and has to get her many meals just for her lunch and such. But as they grew up together, Nik warmed up and remembered what happiness felt like, all the while forging his sword Ragnell. One day, when he finished Ragnell, Rena wondered about the rest of Eorzea, and with Nik at her side as well, they both started their adventures in the realm, making new friends and meeting comrades that joined them in their many ventures. Nik and Rena are a team in combat, with Rena's speed and agility complementing Nik's strength and defense, and vice versa. Nothing can split these two apart, even though they may argue a lot, they still care for each other greatly.

Backstory

O'rena Rhaz was born in a Sagolii tribe of Miqo'te in Thanalan as a member of the offshoot Seeker tribe, the Opo tribe, a tribe that has a unique attunement with their tail allowing them to use it as another limb, along with possessing extraordinary strength. O'rena is the princess of her tribe, the daughter of leading Nunh, O'rhaz Nunh, and the younger sister of prince and heir, O'roy Tia.
