Ignera Arbell Lady of Amaranthine   CHARACTER DESCRIPTION Ignera is a well-groomed midlander woman who looms over other members of the same race in height. Though she is clearly refined in both tastes and attire, her manners could use some refining. Her reputation in the noble community is somewhat skewed. Many will warn others to stay away from her and her savage ways as far as they are able, while a great many others will assure you of her charming personality and generous nature. Although rumors of her demeanor might be mixed, even the greatest of gossip collectors have difficulty attempting to figure out her background. The history and fall of Ignera's once great House is common knowledge, but the young woman might of just popped out of thin air when she took the title of Head of her House for herself, as well as the spectacular wealth that came with it. Bred with the finest blueblood the citystate of Ishgard had to offer, Ignera was trained from day one to become a dragoon like the rest of her exalted ancestors. Her training comes to a halt when her father is slain, and resorts to picking fights with Brume children instead to make her days eventful. ▼ TEENAGE Confident, aggressive, and slightly morbid. Taken in by Inquisitor Treaullan Faunohard, a man of humble beginnings and distaste for spoiled children. Even so, Ignera becomes his apprentice and trustworthy partner. ▼ CURRENTLY Sharp, charming, and purposely ignorant. After "retiring" as the Right Hand of High Inquisitor Faunohard, Ignera now sends her days flaunting her wealth in the southern hemisphere of Eorzea. Naturally, the latter is the source of a majority of her wealth. ■ TRIPLE TRIAD - She bought all of her cards in the black market. It's unfair. ■[🌟] HAGGLING - After becoming a regular in the Ul'dahn markets, Ignera has become fascinated with the rather intense and aggressive style of bargaining in the southern citystate. Bringing this skill back home has proven to be very fruitful, now able to score sweet deals at the Crozier, and somehow frighten a few of the merchants there. ■[🔒] ??? TORTURE - It comes with the job. Ignera was known in the Doctrine for her very specific procedures. One of which was putting her victim in solitude for the course of two months, with her as their only form of social interaction. A majority of them developed Stockholm syndrome, and were able to give Ignera the information she needed without physical torture. ▼ MINOR ■ STORY-TELLER - Ignera has a rather good memory, and is able to retell stories she's heard ages ago without much difficulty. This comes in handy when she's gossiping. ■ GAMBLING - She is known to have pretty good luck, for some reason. ■ COMBAT - Ignera knows how to wield a lance, but is extremely rusty. ■[🌟] TELEPORTATION - Ignera has the gil to teleport, so the Astral Agents have learned to cling onto her when she tags along on events for a free ride home. ■[🔒] ??? As much as she would despise to admit it, she considers the man to be a younger brother she never had the privilege to have. She occasionally checks on him to make sure he is healthy and whole, as that can quickly change in the company of the Agents. Treaullan Faunohard ─ "Old Man" SUMMARY: The man who trained Ignera into a Inquisitor. Although the two are constantly at disagreements and go out of their way to bicker with one another in their retirement, they somehow share a very close relationship. Ignera sees him as a father figure, though she'd much rather hurl herself off of a witchdrop than admit it to the man himself. Reinette's neutral stance on Ishgardian politics somewhat confuses Ignera, but that doesn't stop them from engaging in exciting gossip sessions over a pot of tea every now and then. Berrod Armstrong ─ "Ser Armstrong" SUMMARY: Leader of the Astral Agents. Ignera considers him to be a respectable character, and leads his company in good moral. She just doesn't really get his whole "monk" thing, though. Can't he use a real weapon like a normal person? Nathaniel Salem ─ "Nats" SUMMARY: Ignera's first contact when she wants to harass someone for bulk commissions of potions. She doesn't seem to mind his tendency to overprice his product, as he doesn't ask why she needs so many potions of strength very often. Occasionally Ignera drags him along to social events so she might torment him in public. Negative, Foes & Rivals Elise Arbell ─ "Mother's favorite" SUMMARY: Ignera's younger sister. Her reasons for disliking her sibling are rather vague, and she tends to avoid discussing any topic that includes Elise. As soon as their mother passed away, Ignera sent Elise to boarding school, where she wouldn't have to see her on a daily basis. Iieha Beautemps ─ "Child Saint" SUMMARY: Ignera had a soft spot for this young woman at first, somewhat seeing herself in the tarot-reading noblewoman.
