Overview

Elisa Stanier is an Ishgardian alchemist, and one of the heiresses to her family's fortune along with her cousin and sister-by-adoption, Astria. She is often seen buying random gifts, counting things that don't require counting and reading.

Biography

Early Life & Childhood

Elisa Stanier was born in Ishgard, and adopted at the age of 2 by her aunt and uncle, seamstress Cordelia Stanier and bounty hunter Godric Stanier, following the deaths of her parents. Throughout childhood, Elisa and Astria were extremely close, though they fought nearly constantly. The family was fairly wealthy, and the children were often given anything they requested. The girls developed a talent- and a reputation- for terrorizing the neighborhood with their antics. The schemes were more often masterminded by Elisa, who was the more strategically minded of the two. When Elisa wasn't with Astria, she was spending time with her aunt, learning to sew, which she quickly became skilled at.

Adolescence

Around the age of 12, Astria and Elisa started becoming more aware of what the world had to offer. They both developed a passion for reading and learning new things, though most often different subjects. Where Elisa was more interested in subjects like alchemy, Astria developed a particular interest in history. Since the family was wealthy, their love of books was no issue. Around this time, Astria introduced Elisa to Cathryn Blacke, a much poorer girl who would go on to become a very good friend of the duo, though Cathryn was always closer with Astria than with Elisa. After much pleading on the part of Elisa and Astria, Cordelia and Godric finally agreed to hire Cathryn as a maidservant.

Adulthood and Present

A few years later, Cordelia's health began deteriorating. Elisa and Cathryn, more often than not, spent their days with Astria who insisted on attending to her mother nearly constantly. It was during this time that she began to become curious about the nature of Astria and Cathryn's relationship, though she dared not inquire, and so the curiosity soon faded. After a few months, Cordelia passed away, and a few months later, Godric followed. The loss devastated Elisa, and in the coming days she required almost constant consolation. During this time, Elisa began devoutly studying alchemy as a distraction, eventually becoming very knowledgeable in its practice. After some time, Astria and Elisa found a love for traveling, and began traveling around Eorzea, though it eventually became more seldom. During one trip, or more accurately, an attempt to figure out more about the group Astria was working with, she met the benefactor of the group, an Elezen named Auvix Trisault, who would end up employing her as an accountant of sorts, though this vocation did not last long, and she and Astria returned to reading and occasionally traveling.

Traits and Characteristics

Personality

Elisa, unlike her cousin, is a difficult person to annoy and is much more cool-headed. However, when she does become annoyed or angry, she is known to lash out at people verbally. She is only somewhat social, usually preferring a book and a cup of tea to a conversation, however when engaged in a conversation she is often very enthusiastic. She enjoys taunting others, usually going out of her way to do it when the desire to do so hits her. She is relatively easy to befriend, though she occasionally forgets her interactions with some people, as she has a tendency to be a bit absent-minded from time to time. Being relatively weak physically, she considers her intelligence to be her greatest strength, and does not hesitate to flaunt it. Being tolerant of many things, Elisa does not complain very often, but when she does, her complaints are fairly minor.

Physical Traits

Elisa is smaller in frame, and is about 5 fulms, 6 ilms in height. She strives to keep her platinum white hair neat and as pretty as possible, considering it her most attractive feature. She usually wears a dress, but can be seen wearing a variety of outfit depending on the time and place.
