Primals, also known as Eikons by the Garlean Empire, are fearsome beings of immense power. They first appeared about ten years ago, summoned forth by the destructive ambitions of the beast tribes. In present time, summonings of the Primals still continue as the beast tribe's desire to wreak havoc upon the people of Eorzea grows stronger. Summoning of a Primal takes a great deal of Aether and they are destructive to Eorzea due to this as well.

No man can stop Ifrit. Nor Leviathan and Titan, nor the eikons yet to come. Only Eorzea's end will bring about their death! — Charledore

Ramuh

Lightning given sage form, Ramuh is venerated by the sylphs. Though depicted in legend as a wise and benevolent elder who harbors ancient secrets, Ramuh is a merciless arbiter of those who would defile the sacred depths of the forest, striking down interlopers with fulminating bolts of lightning.

Odin

And Elder Primal. No tribe pays homage to Odin and he is a wandering Primal.
