This was done purposefully by the lalafell as she was growing up, as he wanted he and his chocobo companion to match. The feathered plumage on her helmet was chosen by a cooperating Yayonzo and Quill, as Quill is a fan of feathers, and Yayonzo was keen on keeping her color scheme intact. Her trademark barding consists of a large, feathered chest piece that was designed to mimic the look of an angel. Quill refuses to take this off in favor of a more protective bit of armor, as she adores the way her barding makes her look. Around her ankles are white leg guards with wings that sprout from the back, matching the look of her flagrant chest piece.
