P E R S O N A L I T Y

Demeanor: Kryn is used to being used for other’s gains so she doesn’t trust easy nor does she really believe people are good in general and that everyone is out for themselves in one way or another so she tries to follow the same but she is not good at being cold or heartless to people. She treats most people nice as one could expect but if you look like a soldier of Garlemald, slaver, or are a Xaela, she will hide and flee or end up becoming aggressive if backed into a corner. She can easily panic if too much stress is thrown at her without a chance to decompress and try to adapt to it. Uncertainty and naivety is also part of her, never positive if she is doing right or if she is upsetting someone by not understanding something, even common customs of Eorzea. She is shy and tends to keep the company of her carbuncle companion Jiro than others.

Spirituality: She is far from religious and will flat ignore anyone preaching about their patron or one of the Twelve they follow, to her if they existed then she’d never have gone through what she and others she had known went through. If such beings did exist why did they not intervene and stop such atrocities, so to her religion is just people grasping at tiny strands of false hope instead of accepting reality.

Habits: Dozing off at almost random intervals when she feels safe-ish. Taking things apart to see how they work. (Doesn’t mean she can put it back together!)

A P P E A R A N C E

Body: Small in height and build, treatment and time taking much from her so she looks like she hasn’t had a decent meal in years but has had enough to not look like a walking skeleton.

Skin: Her skin is fair and she has some scarring from what happened in her past.

Hair: Her hair is a sunset orange with pale blonde tips. She keeps it relatively long and either down or tied up out of the way.

Eyes: Striking orange with pale yellow limbal rings.

Distinguishing Features: Missing scales that are now scars on her tail and the fins are damaged some. She has many other scars as well but clothes hide majority of them some.

Scent: If anyone gets close enough they would catch an earthy scent with hints of metallic mixed in.

Clothes: Her clothes vary on how she feels and the needs at the time. But she likes to wear clothes that are kinda showy and breathable but not very loose to get caught on stuff easily. Goggles and glasses are also her go to items along with fingerless gloves, she is also nearsighted so the glasses are a must.

Jewelry/Misc: She has a pair of dog tags she wears at times, one has her name on it and the other a crude scratching into the metal by a sharp object that says ‘Jiro’. She also wears two metal rings near the slender tips of her horns and is never seen without them.

L I K E S ■ Machines : Working on them for so long has left her with mixed feelings but she does like them for the most part. ■ Water : Be it rain or a bath Kryn enjoys the water and will not be swayed otherwise. ■ Nighttime : The solitary nights where she could feel safe the longest and move about without a worry. She is not a night owl but stays up as long as she can to enjoy the peace. ■ Ruins : Finding Jiro has made her curious of other fallen to ruin places and the secrets that could be buried within. ■ Books : She enjoys books with many pictures in them and very little words. Her little secret that she cannot read or write. ■ Plushies : A guilty pleasure of hers, another little secret she'll not tell anyone.

D I S L I K E S ■ Garleans : She has very personal reasons for hating them. ■ Small Spaces : Only when she is stressed out and in a panic, it feels like the walls are closing in on her. ■ Deserts : Too dry and hot. ■ Crowds : Too many people tend to bother her so she stays out of major cities if she can. ■ Xaela: As odd as it seems she does not like her own kind and is actually a bit afraid of them and distrustful, especially of the males. ■ Being treated unkindly. ■ Slavery.

O T H E R ■ Craft : She is a novice with metal work but can make decent enough things that wont fall apart after a single use, though has to be small things for now till she gets better on her own through trial and error or someone becomes a mentor to her. ■ Unstable Casting : Kryn has no training at all for spells and using her aether, so it tends to backfire in her face. This causes her to be reluctant when needing to attempt to use it.

N P C Jiro ( ♥ ) ( NPC ) - The Golden Fluff Jiro is a special carbuncle in his own right. Tending to wander off at times and supposedly staying out of trouble but then he'd come back to Kryn with a pack filled with items he supposedly 'found' ranging from dried foods, water skins, and bandages usually. While he has stopped taking those items he'll do it more for a reaction out of boredom now, giving the taken item back or leaving it close by for their owner to find.
