The Galthens house was founded by it's forefather Judge Galtentine (PIVS OTHO GALTENTINIVS), a Garlean Judge who served the Emperor's Tribunal Court. From his line bore the House Galthens, a family line that has served the Empire since its dawning. Every generation of the Galthens line has produced either politician or military man brought up and carefully trained to succeed each previous seat the family held. When a Galtentinian man sat as a tribunus his son, upon conception, is molded to take his very seat when his time has come. Thus the power of their family only stands to grow.

Though with emergence of the XIVth Legion the Galthens' traditional power began to wane. Right before the VIIth Legion's attack on Eorzea, the Legatus Gaius Van Baelsar had already rose significantly in power and had become the Emperor's most favored. Gaius, believing in ability over nobility, assigned many common place men of great ability in the seats of power, one most significantly is his promotion of Rhitatyn Sas Arvina into the Tribunus Laticlavus seat. Though condoned by the Emperor himself, this was to become the first of many usurping of political power from the noble houses.

For the first time a Galtentinian had demoted in rank only to be superseded by one of common birth. This spelled a depression on the Galthens line and it was one they have yet to fully overcome. Though Kharelian Azureus Nan Galthens's (Judge Kharelius) position on the Capital Tribuni has been maintained, he has been pressured greatly and runs the risk of losing the court's favor. Judge Kharelius's is under civil investigation due to his involvement in the VIIth Legion's Calamity incident. It is only fortunate that, after the wake of the XIVth Legion's attack on Eorzea, his appeal to allow the remaining forces to organize from within Eorzea was granted. Now that remaining Garlean fleet is what is now The Regnum Garlemald to which Judge Kharelius's children were appointed to lead, very gradually restoring favor back into the Galthens House.</div></spoiler>

» Tenrou, despite his vagabond-like appearance, places a high value on honor. Believing that, as a sellsword, his value is determined by the jobs he refuses to take. » Tenrou is not only a swordsman but a musician and tea master both of which were taught along side the ways of the sword. Tenrou honors his master and elders greatly. known to be a follower of the ethos of old, Tenrou is a devout believer in the tenants of Oschon ever following his wind.

The Cermet Velius
»In-Character Though Ramsus had received training in the use of the Pilus (Spear) as well as in hand-to-hand combat, his trademark weapon is the Great Axe to which he was known to have plowed through enemy ranks. Ramsus has made quite the reputation for pulling as many foes as he can and crushing them all together as oppose to isolating his opponents on a 1-vs-1 bout. This style of mowing through packs of his enemies has earned him the title "The Vice Ram".
» ((In-Game much like his in-character temperament in battle, Ramsus pulls as many mobs as he can and counts on his team's ability to collapse on the group. Spamming AoEs is highly recommended and for single target DPS, they should collapse down on those in the group of mobs with the lowest health resulting in relief for both the healer and Ramsus himself. When in the process of pulling mobs, avoid from engaging any of the targets until Ramsus has situated himself in an area and begins spamming his AoE. Healers should travel closely and start healing Ramsus as soon as he stops moving regardless of current HP.))
» Cermet Velius Upon reaching the status of Primi Ordines, Ramsus's mother had Garlean Researchers issue him a Ceruleum enhanced Great Axe which was specifically designed to fit his style of combat. This weapon was thrice enhanced: first was its tempering using Thavnairan materials (Velius), second was its Ceruleum enhancement (Ceruleum Velius), and third was having its plating replaced with Cermet, a very stalwart material. Hence this version be called the Cermet Velius. Although it was designed and modeled after the Great Axe "Rampager", it is looked upon by Garlean weaponsmiths as a vast improvement, rivaling the might of the Relic Weapons from master Gerholt himself.
