Behavior

» He can be quite absent-minded at times especially when an idea strikes him out of the blue. He is prone to going off in his own little world and usually it takes a moment for him to come back to reality (or realize that someone's talking to him), so he may appear standoffish. He doesn't mean to, of course.

He is very patient with almost anything and is willing to learn new things. He may not look like he's having fun but he is. A sure way to see if he is wary of a person is when he talks a lot or keeps asking a bunch of questions as opposed to him being his normal quiet self. When he is all quiet around someone that means he is comfortable around that person. It makes sense in his head but this may not be the case for everyone. That said, he is open to change provided it isn't forced onto him or that he is pressured to comply.

Quirks & Tics:

» He sometimes makes drawing motions with his hands in mid-air while thinking or visualizing something and as already mentioned he is often absent-minded and can easily walk into a wall if he's not paying attention. Ironically he can be extremely focused when the need calls for it so he rarely panics when he (or his friends) is in danger.

Eirwyn's father worked as a carpenter/shipwright for Naldiq & Vymelli's and is often seen drawing up designs for furnitures when not working on their little plot of land somewhere in La Noscea. His mother makes a living off of making pottery and earthenwares. These two combined sparked an early interest on the arts for Eirwyn.

The third in four children, Eirwyn is the only one so far who has expressed a desire to pursue a career in art but due to the current happenings in Eorzea, he feels it inappropriate to openly strive towards that goal solely. He's now at the point wherein he has no idea where he's going but figures he'll find out just as long as he kept working.

While browsing through the books in Maelvaan's Gate, a trainer took that as Eirwyn being interested in learning the arcane arts and so ended up enlisting in the Arcanist's guild. At the moment, he works as a field agent with a freelance contract for the guild whilst trying to practice his craft on the side.

He'd like to search for other sculptors and maybe watch them work or learn more about the craft from them. Right now, a merchant he usually encounters on the job tipped him on visited the Oak Atrium at Gridania. Having not been to that area at all, his current goal is to prepare for his eventual trip to the forest-state and maybe even roam around his mother's original residence which is Uldah.
