Xiv looks at the world around him with fascination and wonder, as if seeing almost everything for the first time. Quite tall for a Miqo'te and muscular. While not really of body-builder size but rather that of a hard-working athlete. His dark skin is surprisingly smooth and his features are rather delicate, almost uncannily so for someone who has had a rough life on the streets. When looking at him you can tell that he cares about his apperance, his hair is almost always feathery-soft and his clothes clean and well-kept. ••••••••• Xiv loves learning new things and absorbs knowledge like a sponge. He is always seen with a smile on his face and is friendly and open to everyone he meets. Very confident in his abilities, if it wasn't for his lighthearted disposition he would probably be seen as very arrogant and stuck-up. He geniunely enjoys helping people, in his own way.

-TRAINING-

Xiv was trained by "Old Man" in the ways of the Monk. Strong and confident, he faces any threat head on without fear. On the battlefield he is focused and calculating, taking down his opponents with exact kicks and punches. While he is proficient with weapons, he prefers to battle either completely unarmed or with knuckle dusters. To keep himself in good physical condition Xiv does a lot of different exercises that he tries to combine with his adventurer-work. Xiv's biggest source of income is doing jobs for the Immortal Flames, usually the off-road monster-hunting kind. He also frequently visit the other Grand Companies as well as Notice Boards to see if there is anything he can do for coin ••••••••• Old Man taught Xiv the value of being flexible, hence, Xiv is a sort of Jack of all trades and Master of none, except for the Monk style. ■ Spears: "Stabsticks" as Xiv calls them. He has been training off and on with them a while, his skill is moderate. ■ Axes: Not his favorite. He can swing one well-enough to cut down trees or enemies, but nearly not as well as with the spear. ■ Pickaxe: A recent favorite, Xiv consider it to be good training in hacking away at rocks. While his technique might be good, his eye for actually finding the precious gems is lacking to say the least. ■ Mathemagics: Xiv recently started to study how to heal people from the Arcanist guild. He has made some progress and can do simpler spells to close wounds and ease pain, Jino'ya has also been helping him. ■ Conjuring: Not as much as learning new healing skills, Xiv has taken up Conjuring in Gridania. While he find the art itself interesting and somewhat easier than the Arcanist-studies, he's mostly doing it to get to know two certain people.

-THE STORY-

► Childhood ::. Both his parents, his older sisters and brother were killed by Garlean soldiers when he was about 7 years old. Somehow he managed to get to Ul'dah and ended up living on the streets there. Stealing what he needed, he was soon picked up by a small street gang. ► Teens ::. His entire adolescence is a bit of a blur as he spent most of it high on all kinds of drugs. Always in the search for money for his next fix, there as no limit as to the things he would do to get it. Whoring, stealing, mudering. He even killed members of his own gang only to get to their stashes. A few attempts was made on his own life as well, but he managed to escape from it by the hairs of his tail. ► Present ::. After the Calamity, Xiv decided it was time to change his way of life. He tried to enlist with the Pugilist guild but was thrown out as he could barely stand or talk straight. He was found crying outside their gates by Old Man who decided to take the ragged Miqo'te in. Old Man taught Xiv how to care both for his body and his mind as he trained him in the ways of the Monk. Five years after the Calamity, his mentor passed away from old age, leaving Xiv all his belongings.

Mostly though because he thinks it's hilarious to tease her so her tail starts whipping. ● J'kilid Tia : While he might not have been around Kilid as much as he might want to, he never miss an opportunity to litterally get in to the Seekers face. ● P'etri Ksobwa : Xiv has the utmost respect for P'etri and her combat skills. A deserving drinking buddy, he's a little sad that the Seeker has gone off to Ishgard. ● Helia Haloren : While he considers Helia as a bit of a 'too serious' person, he does think she have her moments. And he loves listening to her stories. ● Myra Tyra : Although Xiv has tried really hard, he has a slight problem in seeing any redeeming features in the little lala called Myra. ● Stone Wall : Xiv appreciates Stone's simple mind. Someone who is easily influenced and rather innocent in his point of views. Lately though Xiv has noticed a change in the large Roe that makes him worry a little. ● Thya Kahzuun : He thinks that the shy Thya has improved somewhat as of late, and from a distance he amusingly watches her and Jino get closer. ● Yoral Porral : Even Xiv thinks that Yoral is a little weird, but ever since the lala left for the Shroud, he's been missing the little gyu's antics. ● Z'thara Dhen : Lately, Xiv and Thara has gotten a little closer as their worry and doting over Jino has brought them together, something he has nothing against as he likes her company a great deal. ● Aeron Volkova : Aeron is probably Xiv's best hyur friend, mostly because it was one of the first he befriended. He likes Aeron's flirty style and is worried lately that something inside of him might have changed. ● Garrison Krios : The old warrior impressed Xiv greatly as Kilid went up against him in some sort of trial. He sees some of his old master in the man, although his elusiveness makes Xiv thinks that he doesn't take his apprentices too seriously. ● Platinum Mountain : An alledged Dragonslayer, this little lala has impressed Xiv with his knowledge of the healing arts, at least since it was sort of damaged after watching Yoral work his magic. ● Jino'ya Traore : Xiv's most current 'project'. He loves the little keeper a great deal and wants to make every effort to make him feel safe and comfortable. Xiv has learned of his harsh past and has been fighting urges as not to get revenge for his 'little brother'. ● Bert Brewforge : The rough-looking Highlander is always making Xiv smile, mostly without even trying. He would consider him one of his best friends as he is a very honest man. ● Zhyalyhe Loeshaksyn : An old friend of Inarah, Xiv doesn't really know Zee that well. But he is a little suspicious of the Roe that seem to like treasures a lot. ● Romimo Romi : One of the newer lala's to the company. Xiv hasn't really had a chance to form a real opinion about her. ● Cassandra Lachance : Xiv has a lot of compassion for Cassandra and is worried about her. He considers her a good friend and hopes that she can understand that what she has done in the past shouldn't matter. ● Kheja'a Akhabila : Since that Truth or Dare night in the kitchen, Xiv is a firm believer that no magic users can handle large amounts of liqor. ● Ludivine Goultard : Ludi has always kinda stuck to the background, and since so many of the resident Company-members do the same, Xiv is hoping that maybe they will all bond together and form an awesome team. ● Lanielle Lanelle : Xiv's love for her bacon bread has definitely increased his interest in this cute little lala ● Locke Rinannis : While not showing it outright, Xiv is very interested in the knowledge of machinery that Locke has. He has considered asking him to show him how stuff works! ● Miir Raj'ar : Miir reminds Xiv a lot about P'etri, although her mouth is a more crude than his brother's. He is happy in her company though, and hopes they can have a good sparring match someday.
