Eirwyn is an aspiring sculptor who is saving up for his own workshop. He has recently started taking on a myriad of jobs to reach this goal.

Behavior

» He can be quite absent-minded at times especially when an idea strikes him out of the blue. He is prone to going off in his own little world and usually it takes a moment for him to come back to reality (or realize that someone's talking to him), so he may appear standoffish. He doesn't mean to, of course.

He is very patient with almost anything and is willing to learn new things. He may not look like he's having fun but he is. A sure way to see if he is wary of a person is when he talks a lot or keeps asking a bunch of questions as opposed to him being his normal quiet self. When he is all quiet around someone that means he is comfortable around that person. It makes sense in his head but this may not be the case for everyone. That said, he is open to change provided it isn't forced onto him or that he is pressured to comply.

Quirks & Tics:

» He sometimes makes drawing motions with his hands in mid-air while thinking or visualizing something and as already mentioned he is often absent-minded and can easily walk into a wall if he's not paying attention. Ironically he can be extremely focused when the need calls for it so he rarely panics when he (or his friends) is in danger.

Eirwyn's father worked as a carpenter/shipwright for Naldiq & Vymelli's and is often seen drawing up designs for furnitures when not working on their little plot of land somewhere in La Noscea. His mother makes a living off of making pottery and earthenwares. These two combined sparked an early interest on the arts for Eirwyn.

The third in four children, Eirwyn is the only one so far who has expressed a desire to pursue a career in art but due to the current happenings in Eorzea, he feels it inappropriate to openly strive towards that goal solely. He's now at the point wherein he has no idea where he's going but figures he'll find out just as long as he kept working.

While browsing through the books in Melvaan's Gate, a trainer took that as Eirwyn being interested in learning the arcane arts and so ended up enlisting in the Arcanist's guild. At the moment, he is juggling taking odd jobs from a company that will sponsor whatever endeavor he'd like to pursue, so long as it's legal. He uses the sponsorship to finance his Arcanist studies as well as continuing with honing his crafting (sculpting?) skills on the side.

Other Notes

With regards to his sculptures, it will go hand in hand with my actual commissions. I'm still in the process of setting up and will update this part here with additional info on it. Character profile wise, it is a work in progress and changes of varying degrees are bound to occur.
