Childhood Abandoned In Coerthas Any period of time before the age of six as been forgotten from either stress induced trauma, or lack of caring to remember. An Elezen woman, and her disabled father, found Sebastien in an abandoned building and took him under their care (Alsette & Aufrort Mouteloux). He was given their last name (not legally), and was passed off as their own even if he didn't look a thing like the dark-haired trio. They nicknamed him 'Sly' as he learned the trade of begging and quick-thinking rather easily. The trio roamed between the difference camps in Coerthas, losing weight and health due to the declining number of folks who pitied their plight. The years took their toll, and finally the eldest died from exposure. In her grief the woman took Sebastien to a small, guarded camp, and pleaded with the men to keep an eye on him as she left to find a place for them to live. She never returned. Sebastien was eleven, although not knowing his real birthday, he kept track with the ending of each year. Not knowing what to do with an orphaned boy, the guards gave him enough pity to feed him, and sometimes shelter him, and some even took him under wing and taught him how to fight. When the men changed stations, the newest arrivals would be told of the 'camp mut', under un-offical orders to keep him from dying or getting into trouble. Some would outright ignore him, but there were always a decent few that would show kindness. The camp Sebastien 'lived' at finally closed down and relocated elsewhere, forcing him to move on and fend for himself. By this time he was fourteen, and while still rather weak and scared, he was prepared to do what he could to take care of himself. Unfortunately the lengthy stretch of days he would sometimes have to endure before he found a camp, or caught a wild rabbit for food, eventually wore down his resolve and provoked him to steal when the chance arose. This lead to less scavenging independently, and more easy pickings, which then lead to him being caught and detained.

Growing up The Rebellious Scavenger The officiator in Coerthas was located inside Camp Dragonhead, and Sebastien was marched there to receive punishment for his transgressions. Either by luck, or fate, did he meet up with a guardsman who knew him from his scavenging days at camp (Ofleux Zourent). For some reason the man decided to claim charge over him, and planned to put him to work to wipe away his crimes. The Commander at the time thought the idea just, and so Sebastien was an un-offical guard and errand boy for the camp. For a few years Sebastien was content doing as he was told, since the payment for such was a place to sleep, and food to eat every night. But when puberty hit, a fierce need to be more independent gnawed inside him. And while he worked his debt off, he was also being trained as a lancer, yet held back from the dangerous kind of errands. The limitations on his freedom weighed him down, and soon the price of food and shelter wasn't enough to keep him locked down and out of sight. When he cleared his charges from the Commander, he told his mentor and guardian Ofleux that he would be venturing out of camp to learn to live by himself again. Ofleux did not sanction the idea, siting Sebastien wasn't ready, but that didn't stop the boy. He left the camp on not so good terms with his only friend, and a man that was almost like a father to him. It wasn't long before Sebastien found trouble in the guise of a company of mercenaries seeking more 'muscle' for their cause. Fhruhwolk Loetbyrt was the leader of about thirteen goons, and he offered Sebastien riches, fame, and as much combat as the young scamp wanted, which all sounded too good to be true, but Sebastien was naive about that saying at the time. For awhile their schemes were directed at other rough brigands over turf or hunting grounds, and the company felt akin to a rowdy home. But one such plot, to take down a large caravan as it crossed a dangerous part of Coerthas, changed Sebastien's outlook forever. The caravan made camp in a notorious area in Coerthas known for Downy Aevis nesting. While Loetbyrt's group tried to overtake the small amount of guards hired to protect the caravan, Aevis' flocked down upon the chaos and laid waste to almost everyone. Guards were sent to the site to try and rescue survivors admist the war-scene, and one such guard was Sebastien's friend Ofleux. The guard found Sebastion alive but barely just, and had to have a showdown with a surviving dragon to get Sebastien to safety. It cost Ofleux his life.

I don't think I'll be able to repay that debt." Alsette did what she could, when she could, with the very little she had or could acquire. She did love Sebatien, in her own way. Aufrort Mouteloux, Old One. ( ♦ ✔ ✝ ) - Cranky but caring. Sebastien's Thoughts: "He hated having an extra mouth to feed, but then ended up giving me most of his rations for that day. I wish I had more memories of him before he died." Alsette's father, under his daughter's care. He could not work, nor did he have any other family that could help the pair out after his wife and son died in a freak accident. He was in charge of where the trio traveled, and was the thin glue that held everything together. Ofleux Zourent, Father figure. ( ♦ ✔ ✝ ) - Strict Guardian. Sebastien's Thoughts: "Taught me most of what I know now, even if at the time I hated his instruction. His death weighs heavily still." A veteran guardsman stationed at Camp Dragonhead. He took pity on the orphaned lad and began tutoring him in the skills needed to survive the harshness of Coerthas. His death was the result of Sebastien's rebellion, changing Sebastien for the worse as a result. Fhruhwolk Loetbyrt, Leader of Misfits. ( $ ✖ ) - Chaotic Mercenary. Sebastien's Thoughts: "As much as I want to forget him, I can't. The biggest mistake of my life was to listen to him." The leader of a group of hooligan mercenaries and thieves that roamed Coerthas and the Northern Shroud, looking for easy prey and weak marks. Recruited Sebastien at a young age, and used the adolescent as bait one ill-fated evening. The plot went awry, and resulted in the death of Sebsatien's friend and Guardian; Ofleux Zourent. Sebastien tried to seek vengeance, but at the time was too weak to defeat Loetbyrt. One day he will deliver a just punishment.

OOC INFORMATION Player Notes The line in between IC and OOC is very important to me. While I do seek to make friends and connections OOC, it might be quite the opposite IC, and that should always be considered separately. For the most part I'm usually focused on my characters, and while I do love to 'shoot the shit' I prefer to focus on in-game things when I'm in-game. I do not use other means of messaging to RP, with the exception of Tumblr, so reaching me is restricted to in-game and my blog. I write characters who will eventually evolve and grow, and want to share those experiences with anyone else willing. I will never give permission to anyone to be able to control any of my characters, and I would never ask to control a character that was not my own. Decisions within plots must keep that in mind. I am willing to join up and support almost any plot offered, or needed, and hope the same courtesy will be shown my way. With limited time for gaming, I will try to be active and engaged with any plot I am a part of, but there is only so much I can do in one day. Usually my work schedule will be brought up if a plot has landed in my lap, because I don't want anyone feeling like they are being misled, but I hope this won't deter anyone from plotting with me. If I'm to be extremely busy, or a plot is taking off super quick, I'll offer a way to keep me in the loop to compensate.
